"SIUE is very focused on providing a good education for it's students. There aren't a lot of big sporting events or campas-wide traditions but it is a good education with a sense of community. I felt like the faculty were interested in teaching as well as research. We were never taught solely by graduate students."

"SIU-Edwardsville is the smaller science-focused satellite to SIU in Carbondale. The psychology faculty truly care about their job and put forth thoughtful research. The university, as a whole, is on the edge of a town that isn't the most ideal for young adults (being more of a family-oriented town), but there is still plenty to do outside of studies."

"The education program is a highly accredited and recognized program at SIUE. Only a selected group of motivated students are chosen yearly. They build us to be the best teachers for our students and be prepared for the real world. The faculty is highly knowledgeable in the skill and gives their students everything they need to be successful. Great program!"

"Great school if you want to focus and concentrate on academics without distractions. School is located in a small town but close enough to a major city to maintain a good distance to get work done."

"I have just begun the graduate program process. I begin my first class in the fall of this year. So far I can rate the surrounding area of St. Louis and Edwardsville, the professors, financial aid, and the facility that I have come into contact with."

"This is a great school if you are from a small town. There are a great deal of things to do in the area because of its proximity to St. Louis. However, I feel that I am missing out on a lot of inter professional classes that other schools have."

"Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Pharmacy is located on SIUE's campus, nestled in fields of grass and woodland. The campus has beautiful greenery, and the School of Pharmacy specifically has their own medicinal garden. This garden helps remind the students where the origins of the medications they are studying are. With the educational staff, the level of professionalism is unquestionable. The professors are all highly qualified, with many years experience in pharmacy and various educational backgrounds. What is unique about these professors teaching a doctorate program is how personable they are. They genuinely want to help their students not only to understand the material, but to succeed in the field of pharmacy. Many of them have open door policies, where you can just stop by and have help. Not only are the professors invested in the success of their students, the Dean of the School of Pharmacy makes frequent visits to the classrooms and tries to learn every student's name. He listens to the input of students and considers them in high regard. It's refreshing to have this kind of commitment from your professors and even the Dean of the school. Concerning the actual pharmacy degree, the curriculum is vigorous as a doctorate program should be. The classes though intertwine with each other and adds cumulatively to your building knowledge. Nothing you learn is superfluous and the professors even bring in practical, real life scenarios that even your first year you can understand. With this college specifically, they have you do a clinic rotation every semester to help you apply all of the literature you're learning about. This way you can develop clinical skills early and build upon them each year. Every experience is fun, hands-on, and insightful into the career you're going through all this schooling for. Through your years, you can choose electives and go to particular sites that interest you, and through this process you develop the sense of what type of pharmacist you want to be and how you are going to practice once you graduate. It's invaluable. My experience here has been beyond my wildest dreams and every arduous step of the way has made me feel accomplished and made me appreciate the caring faculty at this college. If you're going into pharmacy, this school will provide you a great experience and will certainly allow you to achieve the career of your dreams."

"The instructors in the Creative Writing program are phenomenal; the insight I gleaned from them is invaluable. Without this program, I would not have been able to navigate my way through different styles and types of writing, refine my craft, or have the courage to begin a creative writing program for incarcerated youth. The program is wonderful!"

"SIUE's School of Pharmacy offers a curriculum that is challenging and rewarding for their students. The faculty members maintain an open door policy and continually remind us that they are there to help us succeed in the PharmD program. The quality of education offered by the school is unparalleled with others in the same field. I am incredibly grateful for having been accepted to SIUE and I would recommend the School of Pharmacy to anyone!"

"The pros of the program I am in is the hands on knowledge that I am gaining about teaching younger minds. I also enjoy my professors and the environment in which class takes place. The only con is the limited amount of space for Graduate Assistantships."

"Pros: GREAT professors. They are always willing to help you out, and all of them are very easy to approach. Location is good for jobs and internships. Has a really cool solar car team. Cons: Not much really. Hardest thing is understanding financial aid, and that's more government than the school."

"I feel that SIUE has a competitive edge over a lot of the other institutions in the greater St. Louis area. The program I am in is an AASCB accredited program, and is very affordable compared to the other universities in the area with the same accreditation. I would highly recommend this university to anyone in the greater St. Louis area."

"The SIUE School of Business has a wonderful MBA program that is very well-rounded and challenging. The classes are fairly small and are available to both full and part time students. Classes are usually held one night per week which is convenient for students working full-time. The faculty are approachable and clearly want students to succeed. The majority of faculty in the MBA program have real-world experience which they willingly share with students. Business classes are offered 4 times per year which, in one way is good, because students progress through the program faster but sometimes, 10 weeks is not quite long enough to get all the pertinent information covered but tutors and labs are available for those who need it. Overall, SIUE is a very affordable university whose faculty and staff care about the students and will do everything they can to help students succeed."

"SIUE has a really good graduate program for those wanting to become Social Workers. The course load is very manageable. The professors are there to support you whenever you need them. I just wish that the classes where offered at times other than the evening to accommodate the students that work at night. Overall, I am still satisfied with the fact that I chose this school."

"The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Pharmacy is fantastic in the fact that it is very competitive with other pharmacy schools while maintaining a slightly lower tuition fee. It is the goal of the SIUE School of Pharmacy to successfully graduate 100% of its students. The few students each year that get accepted into the program are guaranteed to graduate if they are willing to put in the effort required. The faculty cares about each student and their success, and are willing to work to with the students on a drop in basis. The only con about the program is the separation of the pharmacy school from the rest of campus, decreasing some of the social life."
