"This school changed my life. At the beginning, I was a little nervous that I could do the work and stay in school for 18 months since I hadn't been in school for a LONG time. The teachers were nice and cared about whether I was in class. They even called to check up on me when I wasn't there. I met alot of great friends and I have a job that I really like now. I'm happy that I went to Southern Tech, and most of my friends are too."

"Hey - I am a student at this school and don't appreciate the lies I am reading!! The faculty are all qualified...I actually checked before I enrolled.....did you? I also looked into their placement rates before I enrolled ....did you? I graduate at the end of May...I already have a job, started at $12 an hour (a little lower than I hoped), but I went to $15 ater 60 day, and will go to $18 after i graduate. I put a LOT into my education...did you? You mention deadbeats...sounds like you're one of them. Don't complain about what you don't know about. STC is NOT blacklisted and has a great reputation in the industry...I work in it so I know. I don't appreciate you blaming them for your failures and hurting MY reputation."

"I went to this school for medical assisting. The teachers were great and I got a job right after school. There is a problem with some students having very bad attitudes but they don't last long and usually drop within a few classes. The good ones stay, graduate, and most of my class got jobs.A+"

"DO YOUR RESEARCH ON SCHOOLS BEFORE YOU ENROLL. I cannot believe there are not any other schools in this area that offer a decent degree program for HVAC. I am shocked that this is all Orlando has to offer. They charge you $30,000 and 80% of the teachers are clueless as they read directly from the book to teach the class. I took this HVAC class to start a new career and barely learned enough to make it on my own out in the real world. The class covers way too big of a spectrum of HVAC material and does not focus on residential AC enough to make you comfortable working with split systems. The hands-on training is minimal to say the least and a lot is promised and never followed through. The exams that are given are a joke but, some people can learn from the silly mistakes form the way tests are written. This school attracts huge numbers of slackers and deadbeats that get government assistance that pay for the program so be ready for it. It is all about getting a free ride and there are very few students that go there to learn. I paid 25,000 cash for this BS and I wish I had my money back. As far as Southern Technical College goes to find you a job is non-existent. They have no connections or strategies whatsoever. What they don't tell you !!!! The fact is that you CANNOT open your own ac business after you complete this degree or class. You need a State license that requires you to have 4 years of supervised experience before you can even test for it."

"I graduated from Southwest Florida College in September of 2010 with an Associates in Network Engineer. The school is a joke and very unprofessional at times. The classes depending on the teacher are not well thought out or planned. They actually want you to pass each class, put it this way as long as you just show up to each class and do your home work you will get a B, which it's good to get a B but the point is to actually learn something. The school does nothing to help you get a job once you graduate or while your attending classes. All these private colleges like these are similar some are worse ans some are better. The best thing you could do is go to a community college it will be harder but it will cost you a 60 percent less than a private college."

"I cannot speak for the other campuses, but the Brandon Campus is wonderful! The Dean and teachers are great, and the programs are really informative. I spend a great deal of time studying and doing my work because I take my education extremely serious , but honestly the employees there work hard to make sure people pass. The financial aid officer could use some help getting to the enrolled students as much as they do new students, but really, I could not ask for anything else from them. Regardless of what anyone else says, this school is worth the price.I do not regret enrolling at all!"

"I just graduated from this school, its definitely not worth the 31,000 dollars that it costs to go here. Financial aid gave me 10,000 and I still owe this crap school 21,000 in loans. There's only ONE teacher there who I would consider a GOOD teacher her name is Ms.Becky. The other teachers never last more than a month or two, probably because they realize how bad that school is too . The deans are also crap, they never have the time to help you, and they could care less about your problems..Oh they tell you ,you will be certified in this and that and so many other things, but your truly not. The school's credits only fully transfer to one other bs school mount state university ,which the WHOLE UNIVERSITY consists of only 2 class rooms and a break room. I honestly would not advise even my worse enemy to go to that school."

"All i want from the school I go to is to make sure the teachers are knowledgeable and care about their students. The teachers I've had at Southern Technical College all care about their students and I really feel like they care about what happens to me.That's all I can ask for. If you want Teachers who care and know what they are talking about, STC is for you. You'll learn a lot."

"If you are not from "the Hood" don't waste your time. Students walk around in flip flopps and bootie shorts!! Some of the women faculty are worse. They try to see who can wear the tightest clothes!! The financial aide department will have you do thier work for them. There is no security because the "Renta Cop" just talks to all the females or sleeps in his chair in front of the building!!"
