"Well, you can tell this school has excellent communication. The Dean is my favorite!! Mr. J. gave me good ideas for personal direction of my life and getting me out of my dead-end job. I had little options when I walked in the front door of this College, but when I left I had a lot of things to look forward to. I have a job now in my field and I'm excited about the new potential I have for the future."

"I was really very hesitant checking this school out after reading all the negative reviews on this site. This school has been nothing but great to me, I'm learning so much, the teachers are firm but fair, and the students can talk to the Dean whenever they want. I think people forget that not everyone wants to go to a community college and participate in the latest drama of who's trying to get with who. Most of the students I've seen here are really trying to make a better future for themselves and are here to study and make that happen. i'm glad that i made the choice to come to school here. I started 5 months ago and only now did i remember to come back and write my review (i'm studying for a paper)But don't believe me or anyone else you read here. Go check it out for yourself and see if you feel good here. If you don't think they can help you, don't come! More teacher time for me!!!!About some of the postings I've seen here: i will tell you this: This school gives you the chance to succeed, and that's all you can ask for. Just like any other school, not everyone knows what to do with opportunity when it knocks at the door. I feel sorry for them."

"I took the HVAC program in Sanford and got a job within a week of graduation.Professor Robinson is the best teacher i have ever had before.I highly recommend this school.I think it is a shame that people have nothing better to do than go online and bash schools for no reason."

"I attended this school because I wanted to get my foot in the door in the medical field. They told me I would be eligible for 5 different certifications. That wasn't true. The classes offered weren't "in depth" enough to prepare you for 3 of the 5 certifications. Not only that, but their courses weren't even challenging. Now, I'm in debt and still working my old job. Its just a money making scheme. Thanks, Southern!"

"Just wanted to let everyone out there to know that none of the credits are transferrable. It is a for profit school who only wants to suck poor people dry. In the real world employers have never heard about this school and laugh when the hear that students pay over $30,000 for a degree that means absolutely nothing. Good luck if you choose to go this college.A former student"

"I attended Southern Technical College’s Medical Assistant program to create a career for myself that I could be proud of. I gained the skills to start a career in a doctor’s office more quickly than I had thought I could. Through the required laboratory work I gained technical skills needed to understand what the job required from me and how effectively I could complete the tasks. I found the classroom experience engaging and comprehensive, and it brought everything together for me. My only wish is that I would have had more chances to take clinical experience opportunities. I really enjoyed that the most and only wish I could have worked it in to my schedule better. The fast pace of the curriculum was a challenge as well. I felt the nine months went by so fast and I wanted to make sure I was fully prepared to enter the field, although I know I made the most of my time."

"Southern Technical College made getting an education easy. The Orlando location was convenient so I could work and get my education at the same time. I was impressed from the beginning with the attitude of the counseling staff, they really were concerned about me and interested in my long term goals. They supported me every step of the way as I went through the school, got my education and achieved my degree. I felt like I always had someone to talk with if I needed them, someone was willing to listen. I found that many of my classmates were in similar situations as I, also working, and I found myself making friends easily. The work is challenging and we studied together often. I felt like part of a group of people committed to improving our lives, and the lives of our loved ones. The educational process is a mix of class room, laboratory and clinical work. It's a comfortable mix that really prepares you for a job. I had plenty of hands on experience so I was comfortable when I started working."
