"Southwest Minnesota State University is located in rural Minnesota. It is a shining star hidden behind miles of fields and rolling hills. This school offers many activities, clubs and groups for students to get involved with, depending on the students' particular interests and desires. It has multiple on campus living arrangements, and the town of Marshall has plenty of dining and entertainment options as well. There are multiple gym like areas of the campus. Despite being an older building, many areas are modern and some buildings are new or newly renovated. I personally transferred from a local college, and nearly all my classes transferred without issue into the Social Work program. The program was nicely rounded and I loved the support received during my internship off campus. The professors were dedicated to their students and passionate about helping people."

"SMSU is an excellent institution. The Education department is one of the very best. I felt completely prepared for teaching when I began teaching."

"I think this program is an excellent opportunity to obtain excellent information that is valid to the teaching profession, but it meets one weekend a month and gets to be quite lengthy."
