"Awful. The department is way too small. If you end up with a professor that dislikes you, good luck getting away from them because they teach every class and are also your advisor. And they will hire a professor that was previously fired from a job for sexual harassment. Espouses about inclusivity and diversity but really does not care and only wants your money. Is NOT taking a deadly pandemic seriously and currently has over 200 cases of Covid. 1/10 would not go there again. An embarrassment to higher education."

"The Psychology department at Stockton is great. Most of the professors have their Ph.D.s and are very intelligent. They were helpful with writing letters of recommendation and helping me through the graduate school process. The department is organized and knows what they are doing. I loved the atmosphere of the campus and have great memories surrounding my undergraduate experience there. It was a quality education that wasnt overly expensive. There is so much offered there and I am so happy I went to that school."

"Stockton University is an amazing school. I attended the Galloway campus which is beautiful. The campus has many amazing events and clubs for students to participate in. I will say that the school consists of a lot of nursing students. They recently built a campus in Atlantic City that is absolutely gorgeous."

"Stockton has a lot to offer if you look for it. During the start of each semester there is tabling for all the clubs and organizations, get involved. They market the school as being transfer friendly, this is a lie. You will be on your own, so be ready to navigate school on by yourself for a bit (ie eating alone, not having friends, all the social stuff). But the school does have great services if you have a physical or learning disability."

"Having transferred from another college, I can truly attest to what an amazing school Stockton University is. They had small class sizes, passionate and knowledgeable teachers, and a staff that was there to assist you along every step of the way. More specifically, the Science education at Stockton University was amazingly impressive and enjoyable. They took standard classes and brought them outside the classroom doors. For example, one of my favorite classes was with Dr. Straub called Tide Marsh Ecology. We met over the summer and voyaged out on 2 small boats to explore and learn about the Marshland around us. This hands on experience is something I use every day when teaching my Marine Science classes. Another example is my Ornithology class. We did not sit in a classroom and look at pictures of birds, we grabbed binoculars and bird guys and traveled around our area actually identifying and watching local birds. I still have a passion for bird watching and local ecosystems and their animals. Another class that I took that really has stuck with me is Conservation Biology. During this class we learned all about the biological systems around us and how us as humans are impacting them. I did not realize then, but this has become a huge topic of study in all of the science courses I teach today. Specifically, in my Marine Science class, we are learning about human impact on our oceans therefore us. Not only did I attend Stockton University and have a great experience, but my husband did as well. As someone who never enjoyed being a student before college, Stockton University brought out a passion for learning that he never knew he had. He graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and has nothing but high praise for the education he received there. Both of us are using out degrees from Stockton University successfully in our careers."

"Stockton University is a small university located in southern New Jersey. It is located close to Atlantic City night life and now even has an Atlantic City campus right on the water! The school being small makes it very easy to navigate, although parking is very difficult. The teachers and preceptors are all extremely helpful in advising and giving tips that will give you the best chances for graduate school. Overall I enjoyed my experience at Stockton University. The tuition is very reasonably priced for undergraduate school, however, the DPT program at Jefferson will cost a total of $85,000 compared to Thomas Jefferson that has a total of $95,000. The opportunities and technology and Thomas Jefferson is far superior to that at Stockton and I do not believe Stockton has taken this into consideration with their cost."

"One of the best characteristics of Stockton university is the quality of academics/education. I rated this portion of the survey as outstanding. I gave high praise to Stockton's academic quality based on a few reasons. The first reason is that Stockton university has an outstanding student to teacher ratio. In many of my classes, the average class size is around 30 to 35 students. The biggest class size that I had encounter is 101 students. Although 100+ students may seem like a lot of students for one professor, this is extremely uncommon at Stockton. The second reason is the professors. At Stockton, all professors are required to teach their courses. So, there would never be an incident where you'll have a teaching assistant that does all the teaching. Additionally, all professors have office hours. Through my experience, the professors at Stockton are easy to contact and are easy-going when it comes to extra-help at their office. As a student, I often struggled with science courses. Office hours and the extra help it provided were priceless. Lastly, all professors are different in personality and the way they teach, but in general, the professors at Stockton takes a genuine interest in students success. I hope that my personal experience and perspective can aid others in their decision of choosing a school. If youre like me, who prefer a smaller class size and require extra help, Stockton university is a good fit."

"Stockton is a very welcoming school, like a home away from home. It is known to be more of a liberal arts school, however, their science department is growing. They have an awesome physical therapy and occupational therapy program. The main campus is beautiful and their new Atlantic City campus should be ready by fall of 2018."

"I am going to be very real in this review. I think the things I will talk about will hopefully help someone not got through what I did. Stockton as a whole is a good school, but my experience in the health science major was not the best. My major was in Health Sciences with a concentration in communication disorders. My plan was to become a speech-language pathologist. I do not feel that Stockton had adequately prepared me for what came after graduation. No one prepared us for how difficult it was to get into graduate school. My first try I was rejected by 12 schools including Stockton. It stung, but I was not willing to give up. The following year I applied again to 12 schools. I was rejected to all but two. I was now wait listed to two schools, one of which was Stockton. A few months went by and I heard nothing. Unfortunately, those two wait lists did not pan out in my favor. I decided to keep on trying as giving up was not something I was willing to do. For the third and final time, I received a letter from Stockton. The letter was an official rejection. I could not understand how I was wait listed one year and than rejected the next. I was another year wiser, had another year of volunteering/work experience. I was very frustrated to say the least. I took it upon myself to reach out to my alma mater and ask for some answers as to why this happened. I was very displeased when they sent back a generic letter with no real reason why this had happened. This is the reason I could not give Stockton a rave review. I expected more from the university I had attended and loved for my undergraduate career. I had hoped that they would want to keep connected and help out their alumni. I am pleased to say I did receive three acceptances my third year trying. So, my second piece of advice for those going through what I did is to not give up. I hope this helps!"

"Great school but of there are things that need to be worked on such as departmental staff and how they speak to the students . Class size was great and the professors would go over and beyond to make sure you felt confident in your work. I think a great addition to the school would be child care for students."

"Stockton University is an amazing academic institution. This school has not only advanced my knowledge but has given me the opportunity to network with professionals throughout New Jersey. I will always be grateful for the experience I have had at Stockton as a student and a campus leader. I feel prepared going into the field as a Social Worker and prepared entering my Master's program for Advanced Clinical Practice."

"As a member of the military, I have to say Stockton University is extremely veteran friendly. They really treated us like a cut above for what we did and we appreciated it. Besides that, Stockton does indeed give a great education. I genuinely felt that my mastery of the French language (my field of study) was improved. I now traverse France as a local with my language skills. A large part of that is to Stockton University. Donc, merci bien!"

"When I wanted growth, Stockton gave me the tools to find myself. When I wanted diversity, Stockton provided me with an African American Studies minor. When I needed advice, Stockton had fantastic advisors with a multitude of experience. When I was facing anxiety about attending a new school, Stockton met me with warm smiling faces and a small enough campus that it never felt overwhelming. Stockton was and will forever be a place I think of fondly and recommend to anyone looking to not only explore themselves, but also different facets of life. As a domestic violence case manager who is working towards her LPC and eventual PSY.D, I walk proudly knowing I would not be where I am without the individuals I encountered at Stockton University."

"Pursuing my Marine Science degree at Stockton University in New Jersey prepared me for a career working in the marine science field, and pursuing my masters in the field. The course work was taught both in the classroom and in the field. Employers like to see that you have experience in the field working hands on. I would highly recommended high school students that want to go into the field of marine science to look into Stockton University for their college."

"Stockton is a small school. You will get the benefits of small class sizes, dedicated professors, and knowing a good majority of the people in your program. With the small school you are able to get recommendation letters from professors who actually know who you are. You network with your classmates who may be co-workers or resources for you in the future. You even know the food service people by name. Stockton is a quality education at an affordable price, that any student would be lucky to go to."

"Stockton University's education provided me the stepping stone I need to gain more opportunities in the world. It's a place where you can build dreams and begin a story unlike any one could have imagined. It's definitely a school to appreciate and love. I enjoyed my time at Stockton. It's a place that really helps you move towards bigger and better dreams. It was my stepping stone before going off into a masters and law degree program. For the many who aren't sure, I'd say give it a shot. It's a place where many came to dream and where many have left achieving."

"I had an excellent experience at Stockton, particularly because of the professors. Every single professor I had was engaging and clearly cared about their students. They were sure to make themselves available outside of class to help with the material or give advice. I created my own major through the LIBA degree, so I worked closely with professors from a variety of departments, and had nothing but positive experiences. The small class sizes were another advantage because it gave students and professors the opportunity to get to know each other in the classroom. Another huge strength of the school is its location. I was lucky enough to live on campus, and the simple act of walking home through the Pine Barrens every day was an opportunity to take a deep breath and unwind on stressful days. There are also a bunch of other trails to hike on if you want some more outdoor time. I loved getting to see the turtles, ducks, herons, and other wildlife that live on campus. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to build relationships with their peers and professors, live somewhere beautiful, and get a well-rounded education."

"Stockton University did a great job at getting me ready for the work force. Not only did I graduate with my certification to teach but I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics which distinguished me from others during the interview process. "I feel that the biggest pro of the program is how well they communicate what is needed to do well. Also, the class above you helps in mentoring, which makes you feel welcomed into the program and helps if you have any questions. The one con of this program is that it is very hard to get into if you did not go to the school for undergrad."

"I loved it. It was just small enough but just big enough and has recently become an accredited University."
