"I Thought it is a good place to be independent and make friends. This is where you decide what you want to do for the rest of your life. Alot of students, change their major. It is good to join clubs and sports."

"I think it was a great school. I did not like how it was hard to get specific classes and was forced to go for an extra year because classes were not available when I tried to register."

"UB was culturally diverse, with mostly large classes. It, in my experience, was very research centered."

"It's a nice small community. Most of the teachers are great. Unfortunately the campus has had some troubles with robbery because of some of the surrounding area."

"I loved this college, small class sizes so you can really get all the help you need to learn. They are always doing construction and improving the school as well."

"I believe the Graduate Program at Buffalo State is very hands on. I love how the professors are always available for you, always ready to help in any way. The learning process isn't just textbooks and assignments, you get to do a lot of projects and team work, which helps in understanding the material. The bad thing about the program, is of course, the cost of attending. It is a great program but not everyone can afford it."

"I thought my college was an okay college to go to. Getting into some of the classes you need was tough which prolonged me being in college and having to take summer classes. There were some really great professors who truly cared about all of their students."

"I loved it. The teachers were brilliant, knowledgeable, and caring. The clubs were interesting, fun, great looking on a resume, and actually worth being apart of. Every year the department also has the ability for 30-40 students to travel somewhere. Last three places have been Italy, Paris, and Italy and Greece."

"Overall, I had a pleasant college experience. I had many fantastic intelligent professors and others that seemed as if they could care less. I believe the tuition system should be evaluated per student and determined by factors such as living on or off campus, participation in sports, and employment status. I don't believe students whom live off campus should have to pay for many of the services provided to students whom live on campus. As a full time worker and student the only time I was on campus was for class. I was never on campus for activities, sporting events, or any other campus happenings that I pay fees for. Colleges need to take consideration towards students who have to work for a living. Buffalo State does not! Buffalo State is not a bad school, but when it comes to administration they are lacking. Also, advisement is terrible there, most professors won't give you the time of day, and when they do the advisement given is often incorrect or unhelpful. The only good thing about Buff State is it's location."

"Buffalo State provides a competitive program for their graduate students. They push and challenge us to make their students the best at what we do. Being in Buffalo we are big enough to have an abundant amount of opportunities and yet small enough to create close personal relationships with coworkers, classmates, and peers."

"The museum studies graduate program benefits from close integration with local cultural institutions. In particular, two of the largest museums in the Buffalo area are in the neighborhood and provide support and programs to the graduate students. A third premier regional museum is on campus and run by the college. It offers it's gallery space and staff for courses and training. With such a tight-knit community and professors drawn from museums throughout the region, it would be hard to find a better graduate program for emerging museum professionals."

"Some pros for my graduate program are that you gain a vast amount of knowledge that is widely applicable to more than just the major, from some of the best professors. Some cons of the program is just the small size of it, it could be made much bigger if it had the chance."

"Great program with great teachers who really care about helping you learn as much as you possibly can and succeed as a teacher in todays rough market. The area is not the best and some of the other faculty members are not always accessible."

"An excellent state institution, if you're considering a serious education and you're a NYS resident, consider this school. I want to say our school, because the faculty is that in touch with us as students."

"My graduate program shares the same building as undergrads. Many people might find this as a problem, but I feel in a creative field like architecture everyone can learn from each other. The program itself is very challenge and demanding, but rewarding. The teachers are very knowledgeable and easy going. The home campus for my department lacks a little in terms of vitally, but the architecture has some character. All in all, I would promote my program and school if needed."

"The HESAA program at Buffalo State College is led by qualified professionals that ensure your experience in the college is not only enjoyable but will lead to your professional advancement. Unfortunately the program does not have enough courses held to ensure that students will be able to take all the courses that they need at the times they need to take them."

"I absolutely love my graduate program. It is a lot of work, and I have little free time, but I am learning so much. I have incredible professors, and the Graduate school provides funding for professional development (such as conferences). I recently attended a regional conference, and my trip was fully funded by my school. I can't say enough about Buffalo State."
