Talladega has changed quite a bit over the years, but the sincere love that the professors have for the students has never changed. Unfortunately, like many of our HBCUs, the overall quality of the school and campus life have diminished significantly. Students who used to gravitate towards HBCUs are now much more likely to choose other public and private institutions for their education and this is hurting our smaller HBCUs. Talladega has a small student body that may be excellent for people who are looking for a school where they can stand out, get lots of attention from the professors and really excel. I enjoyed my experience for that reason. The professors really care about the students as if they were a member of their family. While the campus may not seem glamorous, the education is still great and in the end, that is the most important thing.
