"There are many good things to say about this program, including the diversity of the student population, professors, and faculty. The academic workload is intense but manageable. The surrounding area is north Philadelphia, which is definitely a downside. Overall, Temple University is a great place to further your academic career"

"The Biomedical Science Graduate Program is a great program for those interested in pursuing a career in research, development, and education of the sciences. The program does a great job of allowing for plenty of experience in the laboratory with experienced professionals who are willing to provide insight on techniques and assay procedures. The school itself is very easy to get to from the surrounding area and the only con of the program is the area that the school is located in is not the best. Although the surrounding area is not great, Temple University has one of the best police forces in the United States and there is a great police presence in the area."

"Temple University School of Medicine has a wonderful Biomedical Sciences program. The pros of this graduate program include the diversity of the students, the accessibility of teachers and faculty who are always willing to help their students and the amazing connections this University has with other hospitals and government organizations. Almost all students from this Master's program have found work within 2-3 months after graduation. Also all the lab equipment is less than five years old, which gives students the most up to date equipment to use in research which even rivals that of the largest industrial research laboratories. The only cons of this program is the location of the school. Unfortunately the Medical school campus is located in a less fortunate neighborhood in North Philadelphia. However, there is always ample security, police, and walking escorts. Also, while the PhD program offers a generous stipend, the Masters program offers no financial aid for its students, and we are dependent solely on loans to cover the costs of living expenses and tuition."

"Temple University is undoubtedly a great school academically and in terms of networking. The professors are incredibly accessible and easy to talk to as well as eager to help. Everyone is very accommodating. The program itself isn't competitive in the sense that you are competing against classmates for a select number of diplomas at the end of the program, but the coursework is rigorous. The first semester, there is a class called Molecules to Cells that accounts for six of the nine credits for the whole semester. If you do not do well in this one class, you will be spending the rest of your tenure playing catchup and it can be very difficult to pass the program. Also, the area in which Temple is located is not exactly the safest part of Philadelphia. Rent is cheap, but I don't always feel safe, especially at night. Overall, my experience at Temple is shaping up to be a positive one."

"Temple's School of Podiatric Medicine is considered the top podiatry school in the country. Although in the middle of center city, the education I have received here during my first year was incomparable. I know I will have the tools I need to succeed where ever I end up doing my residency, and even beyond. There are definitely more pros than cons for Temple. The academic competitiveness, workload, and value of the program are fantastic, and give me the confidence that I will be successful. The area is not so great, and I do feel that the technology and facilities need to be updated and put to better use."
