"The master's of science in Human Performance program at Texas Southern University is highly rigorous. It provides students with an intense and thorough understanding of the impact of sports psychology, adaptive learning for physical education, intricate elements of exercise science, and in-depth research of the motivational aspects of sports. A student can expect to spend at least twenty hours a week researching, writing, and reviewing scholarly work by contributors to the field of Kinesiology. Careful attention should be given to working closely with peers, but more importantly seeking the advisement and guidance of professors to curate your graduate learning experience towards your career goals. Building a relationship with faculty and networking with their social circle is essential to becoming a presenter at conferences affiliated with the program, working to publish a scholarly article, and exposure to opportunities in your career path. The program provides for students to take a dynamic approach to finishing the curriculum within the specified time-frame."

"Texas Southern University is a melting pot of cultures and intelligent and well-versed staff, faculty, and students. It's all about business and the support of academic achievement. I believe in the relevance of HBCUs throughout the US. My decision to attend TSU was liberated by the atmosphere and my personal experience with staff and faculty in being admitted. #HBCULove #Maroon"

"Texas Southern University was a perfect school for someone undecided with exactly I wanted to be in life, but knew I wanted to start college right out of High School. My professors in my Fine Arts degree have remained life long friends well beyond completing my Bachelor's degree. The fellow classmates I have worked with throughout college have also remained on this journey of life with me. I can say that choosing Texas Southern University is choosing friendships and family. People dedicated in ensuring that you succeed. I cannot tell you how it was wonderful to have a Dean correct me through criticism and sit me out from activities when I was a hard head freshman. Even now I am so happy to have that discipline follow me in my graduate career."

"I have to write this review being as honest as possible because a lot of time certain Universities are looked down upon. I have to say while attending Texas Southern University I felt a since of pride to actually be able to say I am a part of the alumni at this University. The drive and determination that the teachers present give you that motivation to continue on. That is why I have come to the decision to continue my education and apply for my Masters at Texas Southern University"

"The professors and staff have been very helpful in answering all my questions. The first week of orientation I was given information on financing, student services, library services, online services, communication resources and everything I could possibly need to know to make my experience the best. The professors do not make the material easy, by any means, but it challenges you to do your best. They want you to take charge of your own education and take your career seriously. They value knowledge and feedback from their students. The only complaint I could possibly give is it is hard to navigate the campus, but everyone is helpful in showing me where I need to go when I'm lost."

"I am currently enrolled at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law-Texas Southern University as a second-year law student. The faculty take a genuine interest in the education of their students and work to ensure you are provided the best education possible. I have been challenged by them to think in ways that I would not imagine were possible and further learn to apply the knowledge passed on by them to apply in other avenues of life. They are socially conscious of current events and bring such issues to light in their teaching in order to keep their students well-informed to make a positive difference in this country upon successful graduation. I am forever grateful to have been afforded the opportunity to attend such a magnificent school as the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University."

"There is a good structure in the graduate school in Texas Southern University, the Professors help you to identify my passion and how it relates to my field of study, they are ready to work with you at all times. However, the only negative part of my program is the limited funds in terms of scholarships or financial aid available to international graduate students."

"The pros for this program truly out weigh the cons. The professors are hands on and very knowledgeable in their field of study. They are very accessible and provide quick detailed feedback on assignments. I am currently incorporating strategies and concepts learned in my courses into my current position. The courses are well structured and are not filled with ambiguity. Lastly, the travel abroad program is exceptional and gives the students and opportunity to experience first hand administration in various countries. Cons: There is no online PhD. program in Public Administration which would be an excellent transition."

"Here at Texas Southern University, the faculty and staf truly attempt to make the student body feel as close as family. While still maintaining that it is the students' responsibility to attend to their duties yet this does not mean that if you are having problems with the course workload that the instructors are machines, each and every professor attempts to ensure that every student comprehends that objectives required to successfully amass the knowledge required for success in their courses. The genuine HBCU experience."

"The Pros of my graduate school is that its diverse you have people from different part of the world and the class size is quiet small which gives you an opportunity to know lecturers better. The con's would be better use of technology and more opportunities for students in regards to networking and internship programs from top companies"

"Pros:Iit's a great program and is recognized in the pharmacy world as such. Most of the professors and faculty really do a lot to make sure we get the most out of our education and they go above and beyond to help anyone who's struggling. Cons: You're on campus for the first two years of the professional program and have to deal with the "campus life" which, for me personally as a professional student, is a turn off. The facility isn't the greatest and could use some work, there also seems to be a lot of issues with space. Not sure yet if this is a pro or con but, it seems that they have our classes and our contact with the professors structured in a manner that forces us to come together as a class and be united in our interactions with the professors. The down side to that is that its quite difficult to get about 120 people from all races, backgrounds, and levels of understanding to be united."
