"This was a great masters program. It allowed me to get my teaching degree and masters at the same time. I had great professors that really seemed to care about my success."

"They had a great program where you could get your teacher certification while getting your master's degree. I have heard the program had gone way down hill in the past couple of years."

"Texas State University provided a rich and diverse experience. The faculty and students came from a range of backgrounds. Still considered a smaller university in Texas, it is comparable to the larger neighboring universities."

"Therapeutic Recreation masters program at Texas State is insightful and rewarding. Professors help us understand the meaning of recreation and how to apply it in a therapeutic fashion. Classmates are cohesive and grow closer as the semesters pass on. Professors are well connected, very friendly and very helpful. Surrounding areas make it easy to relax by floating river w/ classmates as well as other fun activities. The program is relatively new, somewhat small but quickly growing. Glad I am attending Texas State for this program."

"When looking for a Graduate Program I wanted one close to home and I did like the online aspect. Texas State University has a perfect program for me. It is a hybrid program where most of the work is done online and you meet three times on campus. I like the idea of having interaction in the classroom and tieing in into the technology aspect with having most of it online. The Cons I feel is that it is rather expensive and if I did not receive the assistance I needed there was no way I could afford to get my master's."
