"The TTUHSC DPT program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the work place beyond that of an entry level clinician. The professors are knowledgeable in their respective fields and do a great job of conveying information to the students. I look forward to the rest of my time as a TTUHSC DPT student because I know that I will be taught all of the skills necessary to effectively impact the lives of the patients I will encounter."

"I feel that the TTUHSC DPT program has been put together in a way that prepares the entry level clinician to perform well above average in any and every PT setting they come to encounter. I have only heard good things about our program from all parts of Texas, and from a variety of therapists. With interest in Sports and Orthopedics, I feel that the courses I am taking and labs I participate in are helping me develop skills and sound clinical understanding to provide the best care for the patients and clients I will treat in the clinic. The faculty here are great at what they do, are always welcoming to their students, and are continually trying to help us succeed. Plus, they remind us that learning the material includes asking questions and making mistakes, both of which I do plenty of."

"I have loved my time in the DPT program at TTUHSC so far. The faculty and professors are so knowledgeable and truly invested in helping every student to prepare to become the best clinician they can be. My peers have helped to foster a wonderful learning environment. And this program has prepared me very well for the clinical experiences I have gone through so far. I am so grateful I chose to pursue my DPT degree through TTUHSC."

"I love the overall atmosphere that is provided by the TTUHSC physical therapy program. The faculty is great and do everything possible to help you to succeed. Another aspect of TTUHSC that I enjoy is the way classes are team oriented. I feel very confident about beginning work in the clinic because of the great educational foundation I have received at TTUHSC. Wreck Em'!"

"Pros: Texas Tech Health Sciences Center has a fantastic Doctor of Physical Therapy program that takes pride in teaching patient care and satisfaction. Students are treated as individuals and encouraged to be engaged in their learning. Faculty are completely devoted to the students and are always enthusiastic about their jobs as both teachers and clinicians. They are dedicated to helping each student succeed individually and one-on-one time with instructors is very accessible. TTUHSC offers many opportunities to get involved with other health fields to incorporate collaboration between disciplines and provide interdisciplinary approaches to patient care. TTUHSC DPT program is one of the best in the nation and I could not have chosen a better university to attain my career choice."

"This program proves that the most expensive education doesn't correlate with the best value of education students can receive. Many members of the faculty are graduates of the physical therapy program themselves, and have returned as professors to keep the passion and enthusiasm for their profession alive in every class that passes through. When I say that the faculty is there for their students, that is an understatement. In a nutshell, this program thrives because of the incredible dedication of its masterful faculty members."

"Th education that we receive in the DPT program at TTUHSC is exceptional. I would put our program's level of academic and clinical education up against any other program in the country. We have a very large staff that are all experts in their field, and that is a huge advantage from an educational standpoint. I would say that the main struggle that I had at the beginning of our program was the live simulcast classes because of my inability to engage within the classroom without feeling like an interruption. However, as the program progressed, I became more comfortable with this system. The cost of living is very high in the Odessa area, and many of my classmates had trouble finding places to live that were affordable due to the petroleum "boom" that has been occurring in this area."

"Pros: Amazing faculty. You will not find a better program in the country! Tuition is thousands cheaper than other schools. Faculty goes above and beyond to give students the tools to succeed and are easily accessible. Cons: Split campus and some distance learning."

"I've never been in a school setting where the professors are complete experts in their field and have years of experience along with clinical experience to provide the best education available. The professors also spend an extensive amount of time pouring into each individual student and takes time to really teach and lead you as a student."

"The DPT program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is one of a kind. The faculty and staff are very supportive and truly care about our success not only in the classroom, but once we get out into the real world. It is a program spanned across 3 different campuses, and yet we feel like a tight knit group. I believe I am getting the best education I could possibly get and I wouldn't go anywhere else."

"TTUHSC was by far the best choice I could have made for my physical therapy education. Not only is the curriculum top notch, but the faculty is phenomenal! Our professors are seasoned clinicians with well rounded knowledge of the many different physical therapy approaches, which is beneficial to us as students. We have professors with vast knowledge in every field, whether you are interested in Acute Care, Neuro, Ortho, or Peds. Trust me when I say our faculty is awesome! Despite being spread across three campuses, we are one united cohort. Just to top it off, I believe our tuition is the cheapest in the state of Texas. TTUHSC should be your top choice when it comes to getting your Doctorate of Physical Therapy."

"The DPT program in the School of Health Professions at TTUHSC is the epitome of what I wanted grad school to be like. I'm surrounded by motivated individuals who are passionate about the field of physical therapy and have access to the most friendly and helpful faculty I've ever worked with and/or heard of. If you can survive the wind and the fluctuating weather in the tortilla-flat city of Lubbock, you will be thrilled that you picked TTUHSC DPT."

"I really enjoy living and attending school in Lubbock. It really is a big city with a small town feel. I completed my undergrad here as well and have never been in a more friendly environment, with the city and the school employees. Teachers here really go the extra mile to make sure you understand the information taught. Especially, in the health related fields. The only con that has affected me is the distant from home and other major cities. Other than that I have never had a terrible experience here at Texas Tech, and given the option I would choose the program over and over again."

"Pros: Exceptional program. High accreditation and reputation from the nation. Exceptional faculty, existing student and program graduate support. Highly competitive program to get into to. Very selective admission process, for understandable reasons. Cons: Uncertain feeling of surroundings and living situation as well as financial aid support before program matriculation."
