"TTUHSC SLP program is awesome! You get a chance to work inter-professionally with other students in healthcare and the clinic is attached to a hospital! Also, the professors are great and are wonderful mentors. I would recommend this school to anybody interested in speech-language pathology."

"The faculty and staff are concerned with the success of every student. I felt that, even in a group of 73 students, my individual education was a priority. The professors made themselves extremely accessible. The program director met with every student that was having difficulties in any class in order to help ensure their success."

It is exciting to know that the things I am learning from both skilled clinicians and teachers will provide me with the skills I need to be a better clinician! "There are great externship opportunities at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center! You can essentially choose anywhere you want to go in the U.S. I was able to get a placement in Anchorage, Alaska for two months in the summer! Overall, a great program."

"The playing field is completely unlevel. I wish I had known about the masters program here so I could get ahead. The professors say they treat students the same, but they do not. The GBS students and their P3 group members are completely ahead of the rest of us. GBS students tell their tank to focus on this muscle or that nerve while the rest of us have to memorize everything. I wouldnt have to memorize every cranial nerve, if I knew you were only going to tag III or VI. Not only do the masters students know this stuff, but they share with a select group of people. And these students already have connections with all of the professors. Of course they are guaranteed class officer positions and perfect letters for residency. I wish I had known about this before moving out here."

"TTUHSC has a great, flexible program that allows students to pursue research of their interest. The program is relatively tight-knit, so the professors are more readily able to give individualized attention to each student. I have had a couple of upper level graduate school courses where it was just a couple of students with a senior professor. The learning experience has been great."

"I really enjoy how many opportunities I have to participate in Inter-Professional Events(IPE). These IPE are a helpful way for me to share what I'm learning with other health care professionals as well as learn about other professions here at TTUHSC that I will work with in my future career. The SLP graduate program also does a great job at adding additional learning experiences to help strengthen my course work."
