From here, things are possible! Initially before coming to Texas Tech, I thought that this was a school that accepted those students that were not good enough for UT or TAMU. I was so wrong with this assumption. Texas Tech University is home to some of the finest faculty that give the students the tools needed to succeed. So many study resources are available through this school and all students are uplifting and ready to embrace you into their study groups to ensure that higher education is fostered.
Texas Tech had a huge impact on my life and really impacted my future. The college of education challenged me and really made me become a great teacher. Every professor I had, encouraged me, and pushed me to my fullest potential. I strongly recommend Texas Tech to anybody who wants to become a teacher. We had two years of student teaching, which gave me more experience than I could imagine. I feel incredibly prepared because of how much Tech, my site coordinators, and mentor teachers pushed me, and really drove me to become the teacher I am today.
Texas Tech provides an excellent quality of instruction in some of its courses and lacks in quality of instruction in other classes. The classes I have taken in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Civil engineering have had the best quality of instruction while the classes I have taken in Mechanical Engineering have had the worst quality of instruction. My degree program, Petroleum Engineering, has greatly varied in its quality of instruction. Some professors have been excellent and some have lacked in their teaching ability. Overall the program is disorganized in its expectations and does not always promote the best environment for success. While attending this program a student must be able to teach themselves almost all the information they need to learn. This program has taught me personally to be self disciplined and to learn and complete all tasks on my own. For that I am thankful, because those skills are invaluable and can be used to accomplish any goals that someone may have in life.
Texas Tech University offered a unique program that allowed me to take classes online and on campus. This was exceptionally helpful in obtaining my degree with two small kids at home. Nothing has prepared me for my future, better than Texas Tech University! I recommend Tech to any person that wishes to better their lives in a great atmosphere that is will to work with you.
Texas Tech University is home. There are many resources available to prospective and enrolled students to build their success. I highly recommend this institution for many reasons, one of which was the impeccable career growth I've had since graduating in December of 2012. Next, the lifelong friendships I made both professionally and personally. Lastly, the university holds each individual student accountable for their academic integrity which has left a lasting impression in my life. As mentioned previously, you'll be right at home at Texas Tech University. Should you choose to further your education at Texas Tech - one thing is for sure - you will always want to 'strive for honor evermore'.
Texas Tech's Apparel Design and Manufacturing program is ranked in the top 10 programs in the Southwest for good reason. The courses cover every aspect of the industry and the professors are knowledgeable and helpful. The program is intense and time consuming so devotion is need. The Retail Management program and Dr. Fowler are also top notch. She is honest about what hard work gets you and will work to get you to any position you desire after graduation. The Jewelry Design program, part of the Arts school has a state of the art facility. Having individual work benches for senior students as well as 24 hour coded entry access to the labs is the most amazing blessing. They nurture your creative process and develop you into a well-rounded artist with a passion for the craft of jewelry making.
I loved that the town itself was not too big and not hard to learn (I was not originally from Lubbock). The campus is a good size and not too big. It is nice that once you start taking the classes more concentrated in your major, the classes are basically all in the same location. The gym is very nice and they offer a lot of classes on the side. One thing I really liked was you could attend all sports events by just swiping your school id card. No need to buy tickets or a "sports package" on top of paying tuition. It's already included. The bus system they have to get students to opposite sides of the campus is nice but you do have to make sure you get there on time because the bus will leave (I am speaking from personal experience here)! Overall I really loved my time at Tech and would recommend going there to anyone.
Hello, Texas Tech University is one of the best colleges to attend in the country. Lubbock, TX is the perfect college town to reside in and pursue a college degree. Currently, Texas Tech University is the only school in Texas that offers an undergraduate programs, graduate programs, a medical school, and a law school. Obviously, that's pretty impressive when deciding where to obtain your degree from. That fact alone opens doors to unlimited opportunities on how you want to shape your life. That is exciting to think about if you ask me. Along with those unbelievable attributes, Texas Tech University is part of the Big 12 conference. By attending Texas Tech, you become part of the Big 12 family. This means you can enjoy or participate in a top notch, very competitive, sports program. If you're an avid sports fan like me, that is a very attractive trait that this fine University possesses. I highly recommend that you consider Texas Tech University while narrowing your choices. YOU will not be disappointed when the day comes that you can call yourself a Red Raider! Wreck'em!
Loved Texas Tech! Set me up for my future and was a lot of fun along the way. The psychology program afforded me several opportunities to get involved in research. This was crucial for my admittance into graduate school. The professors are fantastic and cared deeply about my growth.
Texas Tech is a great place for an undergrad degree in Psychology, however I am having to attend another university to get my Masters in Counseling degree. Texas Tech is a very diverse university, on a wonderful campus in Lubbock Texas. It may be far away from most things, but you will never be lacking in activities to be involved in. Tech is also well known for its engineering degrees, business and law school.
