"The New School is a progressive flexible university with the highest number of international students in the USA. The classes give a thorough look back and forward with a heavy dose of theory and practice. I have been able to tailor my education to my needs and although I am taking the program mainly online, I have access to independent studies and the professors, whom are mostly working in their field. I can't say enough great things about my growth as a student and a professional."

"College is a wonderful experience. I met great people and got to learn things I'm passionate about. However, it was expensive and put me into debt."

"The New School is a diverse and rigorous and progressive university established in 1919 designed for freethinkers. It's flexibility allows It is the #1 school for small classes . It ranks #1 for art and design and has highest percentage of international students. I am enrolled in the Media Studies program, where I plan on expanding media literacy in my state and in the nation. Because the university allows for me to achieve my goals, I can take classes outside of my school and still get credit toward my degree. The university is heavily focused on theory and practice."

"If you do not have the opportunity to pursue a master's in person and want to study communications and similar fields, The New School's Media Studies MA program is a great option. I took all of my courses online, and almost all of the professors were extremely knowledgeable and easy to contact. The courses were still challenging and prepared me for the field."

"Its a great program. The New School Media Studies MA program is based in theory and practice combined, which really allows you to have a deeper understanding of the work you are creating. The faculty is very good. The only cons would be that it is expensive and living in NYC is expensive already."

"The Media Studies program at The New School is excellent. It's the on of the few programs that allows students to pursue their interest in both, media theory and practice. The faculty is very accessible and comprise of people who are media makers and theoretician themselves. The school offers a very open environment where students are able to pursue any project, and design their own path. Creativity is encourage a 100%; nothing is off limits. This is a great place to let your imagination run wild and be appreciated."

"The Media Studies program is outstanding. I thought taking online classes would be boring but they are vibrant and informative. I'm loving the experience."

"Overall the program is good and you will learn a lot. The main concern should not be that the program fits with students work schedules but should be focused more on creating students that can stand out in their field. It lacks a bit in guiding students to successful careers after school is over."

"The New School is a vibrant learning environment taught by working professionals with real world experiences. I just wish the tuition would stop rising steadily."

"The New School for Public Engagement is one of the best places for theory based courses. It presents its students with a number of classes, support and faculty that help you view film and cinema in different perspectives. There is a wide spectrum of people from different walks of life and experiences. However I do feel that graduate students should have more events and mixers concerning job opportunities and internships. There needs to be a more unified front because loans need to be paid and money should not be the reason why people refuse to go back to a higher level of education. This is a golden opportunity to turn things around and make life better. I know that I will benefit greatly from this program, faculty, peers and other staff."
