"Pros: Great network of students and alumni, good education for the cost of tuition, as compared to other law schools in the state, good overall reputation, great 1L mentoring program for students. Cons: The structure of the program can breed competitiveness, CSO focuses primarily on big law opportunities, and doesn't advocate for small-to-mid-size firm opportunities as often."

"UT Law is unquestionably a great school. It has a high ranking, and you will receive a great legal education. However, it is unhealthily competitive (students wish each other ill because they want to beat the curve) and not diverse at all."

"Pros: Great faculty, network, they really strive to provide you opportunities to make friends and connections. The social aspect Of the university is wonderful, and the school's alumni network is fantastic. Cons: The cost is very high, but I belief it's still a great and worthwhile investment."

"Law school is difficult, but the students, professors, and administrators at UT Law make law school an enjoyable experience. The social experience is great; the school makes the 300-400 person class seem smaller by putting students in two 25-person classes in the first semester, and one in the second. Additionally, the school organizes social events throughout the first year so that the students can get to know each other better, and professors also invite students to get-togethers at their homes. The students that go to UT Law are not the cutthroat type. Overall, it has been a great experience."

"The UT Law program is very diverse and well-managed. We have a lot of different programs that encompass almost anything you'd want to be involved in, the university is well-recognized among employers, and it is a great value for in-state tuition."

"Good investment if you get good grades. The problem, like all law schools, is that only a quarter of the class gets good grades."

"Very difficult and competitive, especially first year, but the quality of the faculty and education you receive is second to none. Austin is an awesome city to live in for three years too. I am very happy with my choice to attend UT Law."

"I've met really amazing people (both students and professors) at UT Law and have found it to be a welcoming place. If you want to practice in Texas, it's the obvious choice, and even if you don't, Austin is an amazing place to spend three years. The quality of teaching is high and gets even better after 1L year. The classes are competitive, but everyone is really friendly. Overall, it's a great learning environment."
