"I've met really amazing people (both students and professors) at UT Law and have found it to be a welcoming place. If you want to practice in Texas, it's the obvious choice, and even if you don't, Austin is an amazing place to spend three years. The quality of teaching is high and gets even better after 1L year. The classes are competitive, but everyone is really friendly. Overall, it's a great learning environment."

"My graduate program is located within an amazing, fun city (Austin, TX) with a great atmosphere which cultivates both learning and acceptability of diversity. The program is part of one of the largest schools in the nation (UT) which also provides ample opportunity for networking when it comes time for job opportunities. The program encourages group projects which, provided our very diverse student base, gives grad students an opportunity to learn how to work in an environment with people from different backgrounds. With so many pros, I cannot think of any cons."

"The UT Accounting program is ranked #1 in the nation and is ranked appropriately. The education is ivy league at Wal-Mart prices. Great students and awesome alumni network."

"Pros: Great course options - diverse, comprehensive, interesting, worthwhile. Great staff - experienced, intelligent, open-minded, accessible. Great city - live music, eateries, social options, beautiful parks and trails, public art, etc. State-of-the-art building (brand new!) and technologies. Great location - the Belo New Media Center (just opened) is right on Guadalupe ("The Drag"), conveniently located next to food, coffee, school supplies, and bus stops. Cons: Expensive to live in Austin and hard to find locations close to campus (especially that are affordable). Required curriculum for program is repetitive for those coming in with Journalism/Communication undergraduate degrees (this is because not everyone coming in HAS this kind of undergraduate degree). Labs are not as accessible as they should be. The hours are not convenient for everyone and students cannot be in a lab whenever they want (doors are locked)."

"University of Texas is a great college, however my program had appeared to lose funding and faculty during my time there. I was in the Kinesiology and Health Education master's program. Because of this, I had no academic advising or career consulting that was valuable and I felt like I had to make my own way. There was virtually no funding in the department, but luckily I found an assistantship out of the school."

"UT Austin is a wonderful school that is top rated, but still affordable. The program is one of the best in the nation, but I feel like the degree might become less valuable because of the number of people graduating from the program."

"All professors are current or past experts in their fields of study, averaging over 15 years of professional work at major publications and organizations. Their instruction is both hands on and encouraging of self expression and creativity. At times, the professors are limited in their overall availability, and there are redundant lessons taught in several courses, leading to some misuse of class time teaching lessons already learned in previous semesters."

"I'm very happy in the neuroscience program here. It's very strong in learning and memory, systems neurobio and addiction studies. The faculty overall is very involved and supportive. My fellow students are super impressive which is motivational. Austin as a city is fun to explore, and not too expensive. If I had it to do over again, I'd pick the same."

"I personally love this school. The teachers and staff here are great and very friendly. The environment of the campus is very welcoming and there are a wide variety of people of here. The classes are very manageable and there are tons of recreational things to do around here and a ton of student sponsored activities. It's a very nice place to move to and start the beginning of your new life."

"I would definitely recommend this university to any student and here are my reasons. Austin is so diverse that there's always a place for someone. UT has so many clubs, it's hard to pick which ones to join. The professors I've had so far are all great and know exactly what they're doing. My advisers are always so helpful every time I have a question or problem. You get to meet people from all over the country and the world. The academic work is challenging but fair and you get the best quality of education for your money."
