"UTD offered a wide variety of classes and options within the Accounting Degeree which allowed me to take classes in the things i was interested in. They also have great college to work-force programs that help you get place din a job after graduation."

"The UT Dallas graduate accounting program is organized and well run. The teachers really care about the students and the majority of teachers do an excellent job of conveying the subject matter to the students. The school also has several information sessions each semester to prepare students to complete the application of intent for the CPA exam. I highly recommend this program."

"The University of Texas at Dallas is somewhat of an under the radar school and is currently growing at an incredibly fast rate both in population and program rankings. Interviews with various local companies have more and more ended with the hiring preference of UTD over SMU, a private university also in the area. Pros Cost: UTD is one of the cheapest high ranking business schools in the US. Your average cost of getting an MBA is right around $65,000 which is significantly lower than the national average. Outside of tuition, living costs are relatively low and Texas does not have a state income tax so you keep more of your money from whatever job you are working to put you through school. Location: The school is located just north of Dallas in the suburb city of Richardson. This area has had massive growth over the years and currently enjoys a plethora of activities to keep students entertained. Dallas has a long standing history full of culture and is currently evolving and adding to that culture. More importantly than entertainment however, the area has managed to attract big name companies which translates to local job opportunities. Toyota, Dr. Pepper, TI, and MBI are just a small fraction of the companies in the area. Finally, North Dallas is a relatively safe area. Even downtown Dallas has a strong police presence. Education: The quality of the education is truly the shining gem that UTD offers. Particularly in the accounting area, UTD has by far some of the best educators in the state. Most of them come from diverse backgrounds including the big 4 accounting firms and large companies like Citibank, GM, American Airlines, and so many more. In addition to top notch professors, the university offers relatively small class sizes. This is good for two main reasons. First, it allows students to really develop a relationship with their professors. These relationships are key as the professors are well versed with hiring managers, other students, and general career advice. Secondly, small classes make it significantly easier for group discussion and networking. Cons Campus: As it stands the campus itself seems like a concrete jungle. It is very bland and doesn't seem to offer much in terms of heart. School officials have been attempting to change this however and have initiated many beautification programs and development plans. Over the past year the campus has become 200% more pleasant to look at. Technology: For a school that has such a strong technology education reputation I feel that we are quite behind in our technological advances. One of the biggest complaints that you would hear on campus revolves around how finicky the campus wifi is. Personally, I have at times spent up to 10 minutes simply trying to get the network to recognize my credentials. The multitude of university computer labs helps to alleviate this issue for some. Social: The social life at UTD is quite lacking and is what I would consider the university's biggest weakness. For me however, this really wasn't a concern as I was primarily looking for a cost efficient, quality education. For those that want the college lifestyle however, UTD definitely could use some help.Read Less"

"Teachers and programs in the schools are rated than average and I can't really comment, because this is only graduate school I have been. The rating of the Graduate program is going higher and higher every year. A lot of support comes in from the Alumni of the school."
