"UT Dallas had a great business school with overall great faculty. Campus was in a great spot in terms of student engagement and location (north Dallas). The students population was very diverse with a majority of students being international. The lack of a football team did not affect the school but made the focus on the academics."

"The program provides all the knowledge I need to start my career in Analytics. However, I feel like there's not much assistance offered for international students in acquiring internship. Also, for Master programs, the majority of students are from India so I do not feel it's diverse, it's like I'm in a little India in a middle of Texas."

"Coming from a non-business experience and freshly graduated from my Bachelors in education from another school and about to start my first teaching job, I had no idea which classes to take and what order. I had the course catalog but it did not tell me the order to take classes in. Therefore, I reached out to my advisor twice during two different semesters. Basically, her advice was not that helpful and was to go off the course catalog and sign up for any class that was available that fit my schedule. She did not specify which classes to take first even if I asked. I decided to do my best on the order of classes. As I was taking classes, I realized that I should have taken some classes before the previous semester. It would have made the class semester much easier but I did not have that knowledge or guidance. Also, it has been 2 years since graduation and I have yet to land a full time job in the industry I want. I have fallen between the cracks and whenever I do get guidance they push to go after different career doubting me and my abilities when many people who know the industry have told me I would excel in it. Basically, I have stopped asking them for help and am on this path by myself."

"UT Dallas is overall a great school. Academically it is top tier and the quality of the instructors are amazing. Socially it is not necessarily a "party school", but there are a lot of student organizations that can meet most people's interests. Essentially, you get out what you put in."

"The University of Texas at Dallas offers a supportive and academically focused environment for students from diverse backgrounds. The campus is modern, clean, and well-equipped with libraries, research facilities, and collaborative study spaces. Professors are generally knowledgeable and approachable, and many courses emphasize practical skills alongside theory. UTD also has a strong international student community, which makes it easy to feel welcome and connected. While the campus social life is quieter compared to some larger universities, it is a great place for students who are motivated, career-oriented, and looking for strong academic preparation."

"I graduated during covid so my experience is different than most other people. The last semester I had was online as everything needed to shift so people could keep their distance from each other. Regardless, I enjoyed UDT and im proud to be an alumni. I learned a lot from the professors and they had an impact on the way I looked at the world around me. I have yet to do anything significant with my degree, but I enjoyed my experience at UDT and I miss it at times."

"University of Texas at Dallas is not seen as a vibrant social community in comparison to larger public schools in Texas. However, there are still plenty of opportunities behind the surface. And if you are an introvert, which this school loves to attract, there are so many clubs and group to join and find your niche. Aside from the social aspect, the academics are robust, the research labs are ever-expanding and provide a wide range for you to dip your toe in prior to locking in and launching into a career."

"UTD provides a great environment for academics but is lacking when it comes to having a social community. Many students seem reserved and/or stick to their own cliques. In regards to the education, I would say it is one of the best public education universities and I feel it helped prepare me for my career."

"There were a lot of classes I wanted to take that I didn't get to take because I didn't realize a C- and a "passing grade of a C or higher" were not in the same rank for the ATEC fundamentals course, and that prevented me from taking a lot of the classes I went to this school for until it was time for me to graduate; by then, it was too late. I think even if you get lucky and are able to take all the classes you want to take, half of the work of getting into the industry is making your own personal projects and doing everything you can to build your portfolio; the professors in the ATEC program, while kind and extremely helpful, are perfectly honest about that, which I really appreciated. Also, while I didn't make a lot of friends because I'm pretty introverted, if you end up going into the ATEC program, you'll be able to meet a lot of fantastic, talented people that bring a lot to the table. The school's pretty diverse, too—highly recommend for any nerds in the DFW area."

"there's no social life but academia is pretty good, i wish they had a football team. I feel like the professors can be so strict there's no room for lenency. the parking sucks too, i feel like don't care about their students. they put money in the dumbest things and it still not social. if they make it more social they can make for revenue"

"Very poor culture! An autocratic institution in a democratic country! Prospective students must avoid this institution. Some professors are so bad that they can fail students without any good reasons. Students have no rights here. A very very very bad institution!"

"Worst school not only for undergrad but even worse for graduates. If you are planning to do research here, the best word of advice is just to forget about it. UTD has one of the worst professors who are only looking to make money out of their students and their research. some are very also mean and disrespectful and the worst thing is when they team up with one another for revenge. I experienced this first-hand and heard many similar stories. UT Austin is extremely better and have been able to get a position down here. I can tell everything is so much different. Professors and staff here are very polite and respectful and they only care about science and your overall success. I honestly feel so miserable wasting so much time at UTD and being treated like a second-class citizen and being disrespected constantly. When I also tried to transfer, they made my life like a nightmare. Best word of advice is just to avoid!"

"I spent one semester at this school and had the most miserable time of my life. The social scene is non-existent and the involvement of staff on campus is honestly the bare minimum. Their food is abysmal and if one were to check the online reviews they would see that it is often served raw and there have been insects found in the produce. Even worse is they make your life a nightmare when you try to transfer out. I did everything right and holds keep getting put on my transcript despite having cleared them( with documentation and proof) multiple times. I feel helpless and like they are actively trying to ensure that I am unable to get an education elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this university to my worst enemy and am truly disgusted with myself for initially picking it over my other options in the first place."

"GraduateTexas UT Dallas is a well respected school. It has great graduation and employment rates, and is consistently ranked among the best regionally and nationally. And that reputation is growing with new facilities being added each year. I had a very good experience with faculty and staff and a generally very positive experience overall. I highly recommend UT Dallas to prospective students"

"UT Dallas is an amazing school. With a graduation rate over 70% over 6 years, and a high number of students having low student debt and high rates of employment and compensation post graduation, UT Dallas boasts one of best return on investment not only in Texas but across the US. UT Dallas is also developing rapidly. New buildings for Arts, Engineering, Business, Student Engagement, Housing and Esports are currently being developed. I have no doubt UT Dallas will become an exceptional school for many years to come. I encourage everyone to consider applying and attending"

"I believe UTD is very expensive and the education is way below average considering the fees. I also did have some very unpleasant experiences dealing with professors and faculty. I highly recommend future students to look for better universities and avoid UTD as best as you can!"

"The University of Texas at Dallas has recently removed the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. I believe UTD was already one of the worst universities, but now It is off the chart in terms of awfulness! In my opinion, it has one of the worst and uncaring professors and staff. UT Austin is a very good school by the way. I do NOT recommend UTD at all. But UT Austin is a good university."

"The university's educational standards and instructional quality have fallen below expectations, leading to a disheartening experience for students. Furthermore, the presence of exceptionally impolite faculty and professors within the institution is concerning. I would strongly recommend avoiding this university if possible."

"The university campus is currently dealing with a concerning issue of overcrowding, marked by instances of disrespect and unprofessional behavior exhibited by both staff and faculty members towards students. Additionally, there are alternative universities offering a superior quality of education at more reasonable tuition rates. The course evaluators have shown a lack of courtesy and proficiency, and the costs associated with university housing are unaffordably high. Unfortunately, my personal experience has been disappointing, as I have observed significant deficiencies across various aspects of university operations, particularly the education quality. Unfortunately, even fundamental services like public transport lack efficiency and convenience. Based on my experiences, I strongly advise avoiding UTD at all costs."
