"UTSA is a wonderful school in that it has a lot to offer. Not only does it offer a variety of degrees, it also offers support offices to enable students to succeed after graduation."

"The professors are incredibly helpful and highly involved at the local, regional, national, and international levels. They are warm, welcoming, and kind. I love the school spirit and the opportunities available for graduate students! I highly recommend this world class counseling program to all those who are interested!"

"The pros are that the professors are all knowledgeable and the other students in my program are passionate about the field which leads to many good discussions in class. The con is that this program is 60 hours and requires a practicum and two internships. In the end this is really a pro because the graduates will be much more prepared to enter the field, but it just takes so long to get the 60 semester hours."

"The pros are the quality of the professors as well as the students in the program. The only con is that it is a 60 semester hour program so it will take longer than the normal 2 years to complete."

"I was having difficulty with this rating system, for some reason I could only rate a few things. I loved this university, the faculty, the new buildings, the rec center! There is a lot to be said about the grad program here, it was great! I still keep in touch with some of my professors."

"I do not feel completely challenged and at times have been given busy work. But overall I feel this program has increased my persistence to be an empathic, generous, and introspective counselor."

"A great program for the San Antonio area. It is the only CACREP school in the city and the graduates from the program are recognized for that reason and also the competency they bring to the field of counseling."
