"I am a college graduate with an older degree in a field which is no longer in demand. I am looking into UEI for a career change and because of it's proximity to my home. I also like the flexible hours and schedules, but after having read several of these reviews, I am inclined to look elsewhere. UEI sounds like all the other for profit schools out there. Unqualified teachers and lack of career placement support seem to be a common complaint. I plan on looking at other programs before I make my final decision.I also wanted to note that many of the people who have written negative reviews also had very poor writing and grammar skills. Is there a correlation? Just something to think about."

"I am going to be honest, I graduated from UEI 9 years ago, and it was nothing like it is now. You have teachers who truely care about students, and want to see each and every student become the best, but those instructors are the ones UEI dont want- Those are the instructors UEI gets ride of, because we cant get certian students to come to schoolbest in long run"

"First of all Miriam, Maybe you should open your eyes and read that this is a College Review for students to express their personal experience with this school. Some of us in fact most of us have done all we can or all we are able to do at out level to get our situations resolved. We feel that we DID NOT get the education that we paid for. The Administration at this college is very unprofessional and this school only cares about money. We as students feel that we are just numbers. Some of us have complained to Instructors, education department and the campus president and got absolutely no where. It's not always about switching your schedule either. And the reps will say anything to you to get you to sign that contract. You can't have a good education if your instructor or school doesn't care about us. How many of these instructors hold teaching degrees? how much experience did they have? how many employees have been in and out of just one campus alone? there is a reason why UEI had a bad reputation and these employers will not say it's the students they will say it's the school. And if it is the student? we are paying the school to learn. You can show up to school every single day does not mean you will learn anything. I've seen students in my class barely show up to school and get fail their exams I've seen them get bad grades and still walk away with an A at the end of the mod. These instructors play favorites and it shouldn't be about how much you like someone because there are some of us who worked hard and still didn't get the grades we deserved. I understand the school get money for every student that show up to school everyday. What about those days when the school would have meetings for the whole day, and give all of us the day off but still have us sign in the day before as if we were going to be there so that the school can get money. The school gets money to teach NOT TO HAVE MEETINGS. I've seen a lot of crookedness this school has done and I will do what I have to and get my point across to other people. I have already talked at least 50 people out of going to this school based off of my and my friends experience. And now its a matter of time till this school gets shut down for good. My husband works for NBC and I will be using that to my advantage. When it comes to these schools I believe concord takes the cake. They have more requirements as far as admissions go and I wish I had gone there in the first place. UEI has negative reviews all over the internet and you don't see that about other school not as bad so there must be a reason for it. Who knows better other than us students who have actually experienced it for ourselves. Any of the students that don't have anything to negative to say either got lucky and had an instructor that cared about their students or really didn't care about their own and just wanted to graduate just so that they can say they have a diploma. There are a lot of us out there and DAMN RIGHT WE ARE FULL OF COMPLAINTS BECAUSE THIS SCHOOL IS FULL OF LIES AND DECEPTION. THEY LIE ABOUT EVERYTHING. STUDENT SUCCESS IS OUR SUCCESS MEANS AS LONG AS WE KEEP SCAMMING PEOPLE OUR WALLETS GET FATTER. THIS SCHOOL IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF THEY HAVE BURNT THEMSELVES OUT WITH EXTERNSHIP SITES WITH ALL PROGRAMS AND NO ONE WANTS TO HIRE UEI GRADUATES EITHER. I WILL KEEP ON EXERSISING MY RIGHT TO GET THE TRUTH OUT TILL THIS SCHOOL GETS CLOSED DOWN!!!!!!"

"The criticism of UEI college is acceptable. The school is not just a little bit ghetto, it's unsafe. I went to that school in Chula Vista, I know first hand. Unfortunately because many Americans are caught up in the school propaganda and the government guarantees student loans which screws the students in the end, they put up with the garbage until they realize they have been screwed. And it's not easy to change course or change schools, which makes me believe you have no idea what you are talking about. Obviously you like the crap that goes on in UEI college, because you are a piece of crap yourself."

"Im in the medical assisting program and i would have it any other way but honestly.. some,, MOST of these reviews are foolish because every body complains about things they could change.... stay to your self and get YOUR grades if you feel uncomfortable transfer teachers or location and if its the school in general you should have looked up other local schools that offer the same programs. There will be problems everywhere you go and in the end you cant blame the school for your lost. I dont like everything about the school and yeah its a little ghetto but evey school has a load of issues that you must deal with. SO DEAL WITH IT AND SHUT UP!!"

"A lot of these reviews talk about the Cereer Service Department and how they really don't do anything in finding job leads or extership sites, but yet that is one of the main big sellers that the Admissions Department Reps always talks about to protental students, "How great the Career Service Department is and how they are here for YOU..." Yeah, right...The only "Job Leads" they look for is on career.com. Never getting up out of their seats. A good school would have staff from the Career Service Dept. who's only job is to go out and make contacts with potental employers and to invite them onto the campus and show them the program. But when you have a school like UEI College, who enrolls anyone that can walk and sign their name, and the campus on breaks looks more like a "gangs hang-out area", no offense to anyone, what employer is going to want to hire students from that kind of a school? Plus, because of no standards in enrollment, you get people who should had never been enrolled. Tell me, who would hire a Medical Assistant who has tattoos under his left eye of 4 tear drops. Tattoos on his neck, hands and arms? They also talk about not needing a high school diploma or GED, but what employer is going to hire someone who is a drop-out, no matter how good you did at UEI? With that said, here is the problem: #1. The only time a Career Service Rep. gets off of their chair is to go home or to lunch. #2. When they have sent someone out for job interviews, they make a bad impression with either how they answer questions or how they present themselves. In the time I was at UEI College I heard more people say "they would not hire a UEI Graduate" then I did hear "Yes, I would hire a UEI Graduate"...Sad but TRUE........"

"This post is in regards to poster "The Truth", I was a former student my at UEI college. I graduated but I had the worst experience ever, I have filed complaints with the department of education as well as Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, and the accreditation. I will not give not give up and will fight till this school gets shut down. I am also looking for an attorney. Do you have any advice or law firms that you can direct me to? it feels great to know that other people like myself feel the same way and are willing to do what's right. I've also heard that the massage therapy program has been shut down does any one know why? I've also heard that there has been some "house cleaning" done to this campus. And as for job leads we were asked as students to go out and find our own externs in our last module and find out if these offices were looking for externs and we had to bring in 5 forms along with business cards in order to get credit for that day. From what we are told is that the career services department finds our sites and sets it all up for us. We are pretty much asked to do their job for them by bringing in business cards along with contact information on the offices so that they won't have to. I was in the medical assisting program and I felt like I didn't learn a thing. I could of learned better home with an open book. This school has been scamming students for years and making promises of great careers and lifetime job placement and leads, there are so many of us without jobs and I get looks when I turn in my when they see the school I graduated from. UEI has a very bad reputation the worst and it's not the students it's the faculty. I'm not saying every instructor was uneducated but how many of them obtained a teaching degree?"

"I used to be an instructor for one of the programs offered at UEI and enjoyed what I did. I really believed that I was helping people change their lives. I wanted to thank UEI for the opportunity to teach and learn. This is one of the best schools to learn. Do not listen to the people who post negative. The TRUTH is just pissed he didn't get his way. He is bitter for being quitting. Suck it up and stop crying."
