"The University at Buffalo provides an outstanding and competitive education in a small city atmosphere. The campus is an asset to Western New York and it's residents."

"The school offers a competitive program with great access to teachers that offer career advice. The more effort one puts in the more they get out of the program. Many of the professors are actually practicing in their profesions."

"Pros One of the deciding factors for choosing the University at Buffalo was that it was affordable (tuition and living expenses) and that it was well-known for both of the fields that I am interested in (Architecture and Structural & Earthquake Engineering). It is a definitely a lot of work for both of these programs but I learn a lot and am enjoying my studies. My degrees are definitely respected and there are a lot of research opportunities (an important consideration for graduate study). Cons The cons for me were that there was not much overlap between architecture and engineering, as well as some other interdisciplinary fields. Being able to cross-pollinate would have been beneficial. I also wish there was a more diversity in my programs. The good news is that there is a growing number of minorities present in undergraduate engineering and architecture programs."

"I have totally loved going to UB!! It was the most wonderful experience. It was very high intensity and stressful but thats what I like!! Easy is not me so I certainly picked the right major to be in!! I have learned so much and can't wait to continue my education with grad school. Being an architect is my dream and I can not wait to use my talent."

"I am a student in the 3.5 year MArch program at UB. The workload for the first two years is intense but, as with anything, persistence pays dividends. The emphasis on technology and research is evident in the university, which I really appreciate. The university and surrounding area (Buffalo) is also very affordable, so students who pursue degrees here get a very large value and return on the investment. The architecture program is respected, and students here produce some very interesting work. Buffalo boasts an extensive architectural history and students will be fully engaged with the city during their studies, using it as a kind of laboratory for design."
