"UC Davis is a wonderful school that offers many classes for many majors. It's rigorous courses make it one of the best public universities around. It offers a lot of support for all of its students including counseling services for not only your major but also your future career. As a striving doctor I took a lot of advice from the health professions advising and became involved with many student run clinics and hospital internships offered by the school. I'm happy with the quality of education I received from UC Davis and the opportunities it gave me."

"I loved my time at UC Davis. The campus itself is very welcoming (apart from the Deathstar, but that's still a nice place) and the staff and faculty are all pretty welcoming. The UC Davis linguistics program was informative and innovative. I really felt like all of my teachers genuinely enjoyed what they were researching and what they were teaching. They were so keen on making sure we understood the concepts they were presenting and were more than welcoming when I had any questions or concerns. The program itself is quite demanding, but if you love linguistics, you will do the work without much complaint (if you had your coffee). Linguistics is not just nonsense and it IS a science, and you learn the science behind language. You learn all the little nuances. You learn to break down languages into their units and how to tell what each unit means. You learn what makes languages unique. When you enter UC Davis at orientation, they tell you there's no such thing as an easy class here. It's true. the professors will make you work for your grade, but they will definitely push you in the right direction if you seek out help. If you are looking for a good, supportive linguistics program, definitely check out UC Davis."

"UC Davis is a beautiful, fun filled campus with just the right mixture of different programs and student groups. It has a relaxed atmosphere combined with challenging courses and an extremely competitive grading scale in the impacted programs. It feeds directly to its law school, veterinary school, medical school and other graduate programs and does adequately prepare students for further work in an academic arena. The student services are available but hard to access and busy so students must be good self advocates at this institution."

"The University of California, Davis provided me with applicable knowledge on a multitude of platforms. First, I was able to immediately begin research to discover what kind of science I take value in. From that point, by the end of my academic career I was in a very good position to know exactly what my future career pursuits actually meant. Going into industry is far different from pursuing a higher degree, and both are completely outside of teaching. Though different, all career paths were available to be explored in my education at UC Davis. Another fantastic aspect of my undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis was the access to interacting with some of the leading minds in various scientific fields. While in my undergrad I was able to dialog with the leading minds in Evolutionary Biology, Feline Genetics, Population Genetics and Nutritional Genomics. Brilliantly enough I was also able to learn the best science I know from interning and working in their labs. Through these experiences at UC Davis I was able to understand that the world, both academic and personal, truly is one's oyster."

"UC Davis was an excellent school. I loved my experience at the campus, I found classes that were connected to not only what, but how I wanted to learn. I have kept in touch with many friends and even several professors from my graduation which was over a decade ago. Choosing Davis was the best decision I've made."
