It was the best 4 years of my life. Going away to college was one of the best decisions of my life. Davis is one of the few true college towns left in California. GO AGGIES!

Amazing professors and TAs. Not the most exciting area though!

I loved the atmosphere. Beautiful campus. Very friendly and helpful staff, and many different staff members I could go to for help whenever necessary. I have now been a student at three different universities (including another UC School), and UC Davis had by far the most helpful staff and the easiest system to navigate. I also enjoyed being able to choose from a huge variety of majors, as well as customise my own. Adding a minor or multiple degrees was easy as well.

UC Davis is truly an amazing campus, filled with a diverse student body and nurturing atmosphere. The professors are very professional and accommodate your needs whenever possible. The campus has a vibrant life and the city has a small town feel to it that is comforting.

UC Davis is a well-rounded, public university in a small, supportive community. The biological sciences degree provides a solid general education in the field of biology, as well as some specialization in a chosen "area of emphasis". I emphasized in plant biology and was impressed by the professors, staff, and available resources. As the school has grown, even more resources have been made available to new students to enhance the quality of student life. The biological sciences major is an excellent starting point for new students who aren't sure what they want to study, but would like a solid science education.

Davis is an amazing community as well as a fantastic college . . . as long as you don't bother with a car. Davis is the perfect town for bicyclists. There is absolutely no need to have a car in Davis. In fact, a car will slow you down because the campus is closed to cars.

Degree: Animal Science
Graduation Year: 2008

Davis helped me be more competitive in the work force and provided me with experiences that I otherwise would not have had, guiding me into a field I did not know much about, but now love. On top of securing a career, it helped me collaborate with others, be more social, and gain a breadth of knowledge.
