"The University of California, Irvine is a school full of possibility. While I attended I was enrolled full time and I studied as a public health science major. I enrolled in many classes related to my degree. The public health program in particular is very nice to kickstart a career because there is a practicum component. This greatly improves the outcome of the degree."

"Irvine was a great campus. I loved that the campus was basically a large circle so it didn’t take too long to get from one end of campus to the other. Everything was fairly up-to-date and knew when I was there, nothing was old or rundown. The one thing about the city of Irvine is that it is a very safe and quiet suburb, which is both good and bad. Good because you feel comfortable walking around at night and going around the city without too much hassle. The bad was that it is really not a social school. Most kids go home on the weekend or don’t stick around in the community because there is not a lot to do when everything closes very early. Overall, I had a good time at this campus. It is not a huge population so you still feel a good sense of community and belonging. I also liked how each of the majors had their own little section of the school so you never had to go too farfor classes or to find people.Read Less"

"Great school, lots of motivated students and expect to work hard if you are a pre-health student. I was a pre-dental student and there was 400 students in each class, expect competition with office hours consisting of around 30 students. If you are pre-health I recommend getting into research."

"While UC Irvine is an excellent school with such a reputation, I felt that the school lacked in preparing their students for the future. Many of my friends did not apply to master's programs, simply because the University did not emphasize life after receiving a bachelor's degree. I think that many of the students at UC Irvine could have benefitted in counseling as to where to go after graduating. I am proud to be a UC Irvine graduate, as I know that this school is quite difficult and demanding of their students. I received a top of the line education, however it was very difficult being in such large lecture classes. It is easy to get lost in your place at UC Irvine, as it is easy to feel as a statistic or number, and not as a person. That being said, thousands of students of UC Irvine persevere, and succeed. We are most definitely prepared for a better future, thanks to UC Irvine and the diligent staff.Read Less"

"UCI is a great school-simply that. However, it is a difficult, but not impossible school to navigate through. It is critical to utilize every resource at your disposal. If unsure, just ask and you will be directed to where you need to be and you will make the most of your education there. Do not be afraid to ask for help, but also know that you are in charge since you are paying them. Aside from these little reminders, remember to make the most of your experience. The professors there are knowledgeable and willing to help- a majority of them, but that requires that you interact with them first.Read Less"
