"This school was overall very great. I feel like I have gained knowledge and has successfully prepared me to further my education. I do wish the staff was more supportive and the advisors were better. I had may issues with advisors telling me different things which caused me to take classes that I did not even need."

"The good:The University of Connecticut is a highly academically rigorous school. I recommend it if you want to be intellectually challenged.Freshman year in classes like Chemistry 1/2, we had major exams where the averages were in the 50s.The bad:The campus life was tough to adapt to, as the number of students is massive. You will want to join some sort of club or sport or activity. If you are a commuter student it is extremely hard to make a friend group."

"Coming from a small private school, the University of Connecticut was a school much larger than I bargained for. My first months were marked by confusion and lostness, however, it didn't take long for me to get connected to a smaller family on campus. After developing this community I fell in love with the school. There are so few schools in the Northeast where you can be proud of the sports program and UConn definitely doesn't lack in that. I also LOVED my professors. The program I got into, Diagnostic Genetics, was a small one, but it was the best fit for me. Professors were dedicated to my success and thriving. I am a motivated student, but they taught me more than I could imagine.Read Less"

"The physiology and neurobiology program at the University of Connecticut is phenomenal. For anyone that is considering going to medical school, this is the biology track for you. Not only do the course requirements for this major fulfill all of the medical school prerequisites, but they also foster strong critical thinking and laboratory skills. Considered one of the most challenging majors on campus, the physiology and neurobiology program provides exceptional preparation for the rigors of medical school. The required WQ course will give you a solid research foundation to build upon. The faculty are extremely good lecturers and provide flexible office hours to help reinforce difficult concepts. There are plenty of opportunities to develop a senior research thesis as well.Read Less"

"UCONN was a great school. My advisors were very helpful in helping me attain my scholastic goals. The professors were very knowledgeable and cared about the well being of the student. There are many trails and rustic type activities to engage in if you're interested in the outdoors."
