"Career development (2-3 people only) has no industry connections and is unable to bring big employers, who just come for presentation and pep talk. They invite smaller companies but they only look for domestic students as they can't sponsor. In short, it's not upto the standard of a MBA program. As students, you have to find your own internship and job and more so if you are not domestic. They will only help with resume and cover letter prep, but that's too useless. Mock interview is available but its just how a recruiter would take, not as hiring manager."

"This school is not recommended at all to any international student. Don't fall into the trap of even getting a GA. The school administration s**** and the professors are a waste. Most of the data they publish online is fraud and the reality is not even 1% close to the actual numbers. Students struggle to find internships and the school administration then comes to the classes to yell at your poor performance. At the career fairs hosted, the companies don't sponsor international students. Most of the bright students failed to get internships and full time offers and are still struggling."

"At the University of Connecticut Hartford MBA campus, there is so much diversity. I love that I am constantly meeting new people of all different ages and career paths. It's fantastic for networking and for staying open-minded in class discussions because there are so many different opinions and experiences in the classroom. The part-time program is great because it is flexible and allows for a variety of different work schedules. They could use a few more online class options, but I must say that I prefer in-class experiences better. I like interacting with professors and peers and using their real-world experience in lectures and assignments. I would prefer that they offered more scholarships and grants for their students. UCONN's business program has a prestigious reputation and great professors, but it is still difficult to pay for when not everyone's work provides tuition reimbursement."

"There is more overall support in the full time program. The part time program us not one for career changers or people seeking career help. Faculty is a mixed bag, nice campus. Some good professors sprinkled throughout. strong Connecticut network, strong finance network."

"University of Connecticut is a very highly respected school in the northeast. It has a great mix of social life and academic rigor. The Business program has a great career center and alumni network for students to take advantage. Many of the alumni are executives in fortune 100 companies. William S. Simon graduated from UConn in 1988 with his MBA and was named the CEO of Walmart in 2010. The school also has a very diverse student body. This allows students to study along side kids from all over the world and gain a global prospective. However, the location of UConn might be considered remote by some. It is located in a rural community about 30 min from Hartford. I personally believe that the location is excellent because one can visit all the major east coast metropolitan areas such as Boston, New York, Providence and Philadelphia, in less than 4 hours. This allows for students to expand their job market. UConn is also a great place for sport enthusiasts. There basketball program, men's and women's, is recognized as one of the best in the country and has won multiple national titles. The community embraces the school and appreciates all the positives that the school brings with it. UConn is a great place any student looking to expand their horizon, make great friends and excel academically."
