"Although the location of the school is great to have things to do outside of classes, the campus itself is not the best. Most of the architecture is horrible and many of the seating areas were always packed due to how many students there are on campus. A significant amount of the classes I took and the professors I had were pretty bad."

"I received a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, focusing on pre-pharmacy program. The school provided sufficient information about my career path. Most professors were also passionate about their teachings and cared for their students' education. Also, being located in the city and near a medical district, there are so many opportunities to get hands on experience at the field you are interested in."

"UIC is a very diverse & inclusive university, which was a top factor in my choosing to attend. During my time at UIC, I developed friendships with people from all over the world and was able to learn about different backgrounds, religions, etc, which is of growing importance these days. I studied biology and was happy with the quality of the curriculum and professors. The professors truly care about helping their students succeed and helping them to have a deeper understanding of the material. Most created a challenging environment and pushed students to really think about what they were learning versus just regurgitating information.Read Less"

"UIC offers a lot of clubs and great academics. There is a large gap in friends as a lot of students commute. One should start undergraduate research early as we are a research university"

"UIC provides an outstanding educational environment. Classes are all well sized, and most of the professors are fun and easy to work with. The tuition prices are reasonable, and financial aid assistance is offered if needed. Commute to UIC is very easy via public transportation or by car, with parking lots available for additional fee."
