"The College of Dentistry at the University of Iowa is an outstanding program. The majority of the faculty go above and beyond in order to help the students achieve their goals and become the best dentists that they can be. As a student, I feel challenged, but also rewarded. Beyond the faculty, the curriculum that is set up for the students allows us to ease into seeing patients, in a way that we can be comfortable, but again, also challenged in clinic."

"I could not be more grateful to have had the opportunity to attend the University of Iowa for 3 years. I started at U of I as a transfer student, and instantly felt at home. My adviser and the faculty worked with me to help get credit for studio classes that I had previously taken, so I wouldn't have to retake classes that were very similar. The population at the school is very diverse, and students were accepting and supportive of each other. I loved that my studio classes were small so I was able to receive more individualized instruction and create relationships with my instructors, some of whom went above and beyond in writing me a letter of recommendation for graduate school. I am proud to be a Hawkeye!"

"I enjoy the PMBA (Professional MBA) at the University of Iowa because we focus on case studies and use real world examples. The program is not just about reading and taking tests; it focuses on how you can apply what you learn now and in the future."

"The University of Iowa is a great school to attend because they have a very diverse populations of students, staff, and courses. By the end of your time at UI, you will have been introduced to so many different networking opportunities and resources that you should have no problem graduating and finding a job right after graduation."

"I earned my B.A in Ethics and Public Policy. It was an inter-disciplinary program, one of the first that the school offered. Students took core classes in Political Science, Economics, Sociology, and Philosophy then elected to study two of the four disciplines in depth. I thoroughly enjoyed my classes which encompassed everything from "Law and Economics" to the "Juvenile Justice System". I intended at that time to go to Law school and, had I done so, I think I would have been prepared. The Ethics and Public Policy program gave me critical thinking skills and evaluated social issues of resource allocation etc from unique perspectives. The class sizes were small for a Big Ten University and the professors are very approachable. I still keep in touch with a couple of them 3 years later. As with any major, you get what you put into it . This program will prepare any student who puts the work in for law school or grad school."

"I got a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and also graduated from the College of Education. Since then, I have successfully been employed at 3 different school districts. Many of the experiences I had during my time at the university have made me an incredibly competitive candidate as a high school teacher. During interviews, I have a unique way of relating my educational philosophy with things I learned during classes, through leadership opportunities in my sorority, from volunteering at the University Hospital, because of my role as an orientation leader, etc. I am often very confident that if I can get an interview, I can prove my eligibility as an effective educator because of the unique experiences I had as a Hawkeye. Although the mathematics classes were incredibly challenging at times, the education courses definitely balanced them out. I was given great opportunities to explore different forms of lesson planning and had professors who truly cared about me and followed my progress during my time there. They always had thoughtful lessons and great insight for improving my lessons, ideas, and professional-level of conversation."

"College was a great decision for me, I was able to get an internship at at fortune 500 company while at college and then got an offer at that company before I graduated. College it's expensive but I have already paid back what I had in debt within the first 6 years of graduating"

"The University of Iowa provided an excellent collegiate experience. The Tippie College of Business has professors who go above and beyond to help their students succeed. As a student-athlete at Iowa, my schedule was different from majority of students. When I had to travel on the weekends for competitions, my teachers were understanding and met outside of their normal office hours to accommodate my schedule. They always made sure I was provided with the tools to perform at my best. The classes are challenging and push each student to future their skills. The campus is safe, the student body is diverse, and nothing compares to game day in Iowa City!"

"Pros: in the two years i attended the University of Iowa, I felt like each class was tailored to fit my career goals and needs. They helped me write grant proposals, with applying for teaching and performing jobs all over the country, as well as encouraging me to look beyond my current goals. My private flute professor always went out of her way to make sure my every need was met. We had extra lessons, early morning flute classes and excerpt classes, and she recommended me and helped me win several jobs in my area. Con: The only unfortunate part of attending the University of Iowa was the lack of scholarship and financial aid available to students. Because several buildings of the university flooded in 2008, there are limited funds available to incoming students. I do feel like every penny I spent was worth it, but I did acquire a lot of student loan debt while attending school."

"Iowa City itself has lots to offer in terms of entertainment and opportunities to get involved with volunteer activities. The public bus systems are easy to use (the app is very helpful) but parking is sort of a nightmare. Facilities: The College of Pharmacy is a bit outdated, but plans are well under way for a new building so this "issue" will be a thing of the past very soon. Technology integrated into the lecture halls (Panopto, clickers) and TILE classrooms are utilized plenty and are helpful for the style of learning necessary for case studies. The UI College of Pharmacy is well-known across the nation for advances in the profession. Very important research is happening here (cardiovascular research and driving simulation lab). We also have some of the most influential professors and influential guest speakers who visit from all over the state and country. Having close ties to such a prestigious hospital (UIHC) doesn't hurt either! The curriculum is being revamped this year to include aligned-component courses, and many assessment committees and focus groups have been put in place to discuss anything that may need to be "ironed out.""

"My graduate program in chemistry offers a lot of study fields to choose from. Some of the Faculty members are experts in their fields as can be seen by the high impact factor of their publications. The stipends offered by our program is enough to have a quality life as a single student. Moreover, the campus is very organized in terms of safety issues and transportation. The only con I can see is that the students often segregate themselves depending on their ethnic group or race and no many social events are organized to solve this issue."

"Iowa was a good school, but it was easy to get caught up in the partying scene. There wasn't much in the area other than 100 bars in a one-mile radius. I wish I would have done my research and attended a college that better suited my interests, but at the point of application I was an undecided major and Iowa looked fun."
