"The best thing about a grad prog at KU is the close ties the School of Education has to the schools in the state which keeps faculty up-to-date and provides opportunities for student development. The program is rigorous and if you're in for a free ride, this is not a program for you. The uni being set in Lawrence, which is diverse and easier on the pocket than many other unis is a big plus too."

"Overall I think my graduate program is good. The teachers are knowledgable and have an interest in helping their students succeed. The academic work is acceptable- about what I would expect in a graduate program. The only thing I have come across that is problematic is the financial affordability of being here. Between the out of state tuition, extra fees for graduate students, the lack of financial support form the program (i.e. GTA or GRA positions), the price of housing/ living, and the amount of loans I have had to take out, I find it hard to stay afloat. Other than that, I think that it is a good, solid program."

"The University of Kansas has a great music therapy program. KU has one of the best music therapy programs in the country and I am looking forward to the receiving the rest of my education at KU. Unfortunately for there is not adequate financial aid provided for the graduate equivalency program. Being an out of state student, with out an undergraduate degree in music therapy, my financial expenses are more than the maximum FAFSA financial aid I am able to receive. This does not even cover the full cost of my tuition, let alone living expenses. Except for the financial issues, I am very satisfied with this University and the music therapy program."
