"The instructors at the Irvine camus were great! I enjoyed most of the classes and instructors that I had. However, the administration at the school and trouble in regards to fieldwork was horrible and made me go from recommending the program to advising individuals to research other programs. There was frequent misinformation being told to students or administration would take so long to get back to students it caused many of us to miss important deadlines, know importatnt rules or regulations. I would advise anyone to search for a different program or be very meticilous when getting any information from administration, to the point of triple checking."

"University of La Verne offers such a wonderful Educational Counseling Program. If you are in doubt of this program compared to others in the area, this program will not disappoint. Faculty is amazing, all professional in the field, and they go above and beyond to help students succeed, network, and even get jobs. They always make themselves available to students. Small cohorts provide the support you need. You get to know your classmates and develop true friendships. The courses are offered only to school counseling students, as opposed to some programs that also include school psychology students in the same classroom. You even get individualized attention for financial services, library services and more. I love it! Every time I called the university, someone answers. I feel well connected and so ready to be a School Counselor."

"Master of Science in Educational counseling at University of La Verne offers comprehensive programs for students who want to succeed in counseling careers. I like their established support system; staff are accessible and attentive to our needs, and we learn in a small cohort system that enables us to grow together throughout the courses. University of La Verne has such a good structure for providing information and organized. They provide us projected class schedule when we start, so that it helps us understand what classes to take for the next upcoming terms. They are very goal oriented and support your success!"

"The pros to the graduate program at the University of La Verne are the class sizes are relatively small which makes it easier to network with fellow classmates, the ratio between student and professor is about 1:16, the program prepares individuals from the start by getting students involved in the career field, and many more positive aspect. The one con is that the university offers little financial aid (scholarships) packages for graduates."
