"University of Louisville's Kent School of Social Work is a national leader. The curriculum and quality of leadership is beyond measure. Administrators, faculty and staff are very accessible and try to accommodate each student. My program offers a great variety of classes and specializations. I also believe an indirect benefit is the very strong network you are connected to via social media. I've engaged with alumni from all specializations and backgrounds who provide key guidance on how to best navigate the program as well as providing insight on opportunities the university offers that will enhance my student and professional experience."

"The school is great. Certain professors are better than others, but the connections ave friends made are irreplaceable. At times, the course load is rigorous, but always worth it I the end. Never took an online class, so i cannot speak to that area of the program."

"I have truly enjoyed my experience at the University of Louisville: Kent School of Social Work. Coming from a much smaller campus, Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, IN, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy my transition was from one campus to the next. Class sizes at UoFL Kent School are small, most are even smaller than my classes at IUS! I really like the small class sizes, because its much easier to be involved in class discussions, and I feel like I really get to know my professors and colleagues, making the entire learning experience more meaningful to me. The curriculum has been challenging, but no more than expected of graduate level courses. I am somewhat of a non-traditional student, as I am working full-time in addition to being a full-time graduate student. UoFL: Kent School does really good job accommodating students who work full-time. They offer plenty of night, weekend, and online courses, so that I am able to maintain my schedule at work while taking classes. When I have extra time (which is honestly quite rare), I do enjoy checking out the various workshops/presentations that are offered free to students. Ive also enjoyed a free massage, and free yoga classes offered by campus health services. I am not able to be as involved on campus as I was in my undergraduate experience, however I am very pleased with UoFL, and how easy they've made it for me to continue my education while maintaining a full-time job."

"I am enrolled in my last semester for masters of science in social work at the Kent school of Social Work at the University of Louisville. The online program is extremely helpful with a lot of different degree plan options. I was able to do my masters degree in two semesters in their advanced standing AA plan. It is extremely helpful and the staff I have communicated with are all helpful. I would recommend this to moms or anyone who has a full time schedule and are not able to attend traditional classes."

"I would highly recommend UoFL to any student interested in pursing a degree. I completed my bachelor's degree on campus and now I am completing my master's program online. The instructors are excellent, the curriculum is relevant and enriching, and I have met people from all over the world attending school through UoFL. They were my top choice and only choice for my master's degree as I believe in their mission of social justice, equality, and education."

"University of Louisville has provided tremendous opportunities for me to further my career post military. This opportunity in conjunction with their program with US Army Cadet Command is by far the best thing I have been a part of in 24 years of military service."

"I am currently working on my Masters Degree at the Kent School of Social Work through the University of Louisville. Coming into this program, I was extremely sheltered and did not know the barriers many populations I am surrounded by faced daily. The curriculum provided through the Kent School is providing me with the knowledge, skills, and hands on experience required to be an effective social worker. Recently, I was accepted into the Mental Health Specialization program which will allow me to further my education in the field I am hoping to pursue upon graduation. The Kent School faculty has worked diligently to find an internship placement that fits my interests and areas of growth for the future. They have spent time getting to know me and what is most important in my education as a way to provide the best possible learning experience. I would recommend the Kent School of Social Work to any persons interested in furthering their education."

"While the Social Work program at the University of Louisville is the number 1 program in Kentucky, there are many things to consider. As a Master's level program, the current curriculum provides challenges for a working adult. The financial obligations and time commitment of the program is intensive, although you will be recommended not to work while pursuing this degree. There are few evening and weekend class options, but practicum does require weekday commitment. Dual degree options are available but not solidified with other departments, so this will provide an additional challenge and frustration if you are interested. The majority of my experience with the faculty thus far has been enjoyable. The school needs improvements, specifically with their communication to students and its advising services. Overall, the program is average to above average, but in order to not be completely disappointed, I am providing a transparent review."

"University of Louisville makes pursuing a graduate degree more accessible. I am pursuing the online MSSW program (two year-full time) and am thankful for the option to do it in this manner. It allows me the flexibility of creating my own schedule and the ability to work full-time, while still allowing me the opportunity to work closely with respected instructors during my time in school."

"The University of Louisville is a diverse and fast paced community, in which students participate in furthering their education. On campus, there are activities, clubs and teams for everyone to join. The diverse student and staff population truly allows one to find their place and grow as a person. Louisville easily becomes not only one's school but their community, their family. When one enrolls at the university they become a part of a mass support system, that will continue to follow you after you walk across that stage at the KFC Yum center! I received my undergraduate degree through U of L and fell so in love with the university, I returned to complete my masters degree; which I am currently enrolled. The university also accompanies students, and meets them where they are academically. I worked hard during undergrad and was able to speed up my educational track with my masters courses, as I was eligible for an advanced track. U of L is flexible, and understands that life happens and each student and their story is unique and tries to adapt to the new learning community rather than force students to conformity. U of L has proven that they can remain strong and united for their students through the negative headlines and rumors you may hear when you mention the school. However, U of L is more than a news headline, it is an opportunity to learn and reach your full potential. Louisville creates well rounded professionals whom are ready to take on the world! The University of Louisville has a spot for every individual and I would highly recommend attendance here! Go Cards!"

"I loved the University of Louisville advanced standing social work MSSW program. It allowed for the independence of a online program while offering plenty of guidance to its students. My professors have been very accessible, and I have found that other students in my program are similarly accessible. My internship was supervised by a very flexible faculty member. I gained a lot of hands on experience while receiving the mentoring I needed to help me feel comfortable and confidant. I have been surprised by how perfect this program has been for my family and lifestyle. I've felt like I have had ample opportunity to choose satisfying learning experiences."

"The Kent school at University of Louisville is the best social work program in the state of Kentucky. I am enrolled to get my master's in Social work and also couples and family therapy. There are so many different options of added curriculum that you can take. The teachers are great and so knowledgeable, the atmosphere is very profession and conducive to learning, and the classes are challenging in all the right ways."

"As a military spouse, it is very difficult to commit to a traditional Masters program since frequent military moves makes it very challenging. Fortunately, the University of Louisville's Masters of Science in Social Work's Online Program has given my the opportunity to accomplish my educational goals, while balancing my demanding military life. The University of Louisville's Kent School of Social Work is a perfect program for anyone looking for flexibility, while offering a quality education from a top Social Work program. I feel that I have benefited greatly from the curriculum offered, which mirrors the face-to-face program and can truly say the professors are excellent and highly interactive with online students. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking a high level educational experience."

"I chose The University of Louisville's Online Master's of Social Work Program due to its portability. As a spouse of a military service member, it can be difficult to change universities with our many military moves. The university of Louisville has allowed me to continue developing in my field while traveling around the globe. The coursework is rigorous, and has helped grow professionally. There are also many opportunities to work collaboratively in the program through technology. If I were deciding today which degree program I should pursue, I would choose The Kent School of Social Work program."

"The university of Louisville has been an excellent choice for me. I have enjoyed my classes. I have also enjoyed my teachers. I think the price of the program has been excellent. Since I am doing online it is sometimes harder to connect with other students. I feel that the University of Louisville has put forth a lot of effort to connect students who are working across the country."

"I am a current student at the Kent Social Work program at the University of Louisville. I am completing my first year and I must say that they keep you busy but I've learned so much from my assignments. The social work program is a rigorous program but they do an excellent job preparing you for your future career."

"University of Louisville's Kent School of Social Work has been an exceptional experience. Due to its MSSW as opposed to an MSW it is heavily research involved, and teaches its students to effectively use evidence based research to confirm interventions. The professors I had were very helpful and proactive in their learning curriculum. When I entered into graduate school, my writing skills were not up to par. However I had a professor pull me aside and give me tips on how to write effectively at a graduate level. Grad school writing was a lot easier for me after I had this individual meeting and the professors here are very willing to work with students on an individual level. The curriculum was rigorous however it was doable and I still managed to do many of my hobbies while still working hard at school. UofL has been a great experience and after I graduate this summer, I am looking forward to the next step in my career field. I definitely feel prepared to take on a Social Work job at a professional level. Great environment, Great Campus, and great learning!"

"The Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville has inspired me to become a more accepting and empathetic person through incorporating controversial topics into classroom discussions in an appropriately safe environment. I have been able to broaden my horizons and think critically about other points of views through challenging my classmates and being encouraged by my professors to remain passionately curious. The Kent School has awakened me to larger-scale social problems at a macro level that I may have overlooked without the instruction of Policy and Diversity professors, allowing me to further advance my capabilities as a professional social worker. In addition to macro level work, I have learned to recognize personal biases that may interfere with my ability to practice social work in a professional environment; more importantly, The school has taught me how to solve these ethical dilemmas through incorporating a proactive self-care, promoting self-awareness, and discussing potentially controversial issues with supervisors and superiors. In general, Social Work is a field that I was passionate about prior to beginning my educational career at The Kent School of Social Work; however, my education from this institution has ignited the flame within me that I find necessary to fight the battle for justice that plagues our society today."

"I completed a masters degree in 2001 at an on campus program. My experience with the University of Louisville online program has far exceeded my experience with my first masters degree. I feel that I can take my time with the material and truly digest it over the week in contrast to sitting in a multiple hour lectures and attempting to take in a large quantity of information in that time. I was nervous as a non-traditional student returning to school and attempting an online program, but it has been far more rewarding than I anticipated. Even though I do not see my professors and peers face to face, I am still connected to them through email, class discussions, and projects. I have even been able to meet with some of my professors who have met me halfway from campus (about a 35 minute drive). I have found the information from the classes relevant and applicable to my current work as a counselor and I see the potential for future career goals with the education I am obtaining. I would recommend this program to other online students wishing to pursue a MSSW degree."

"I am currently enrolled in the Masters of Social Work program in the Kent School at the University of Louisville, which is the number one Masters of Social Work program in the state of Kentucky. It is a wonderful program, and I have enjoyed my two years thus far. Every professor has been very invested in my education, and I feel as though I am learning exactly what I need to be prepared for my future in the field. Also, I have taken several online classes, and have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the online professors. They have all been extremely kind and available for our questions at any time of day. I would highly recommend their online program if you are not able to attend class in-person, or a combination of online and in-class classes like I am currently doing. I love the Kent School, and will be very proud to earn my diploma next May"
