"The program courses are very useful in the professional field. I have applied at least 80% of the information I have received from the program, improving considerably my performance as reliability engineer. All professors are experts in their fields and bring to the class a lot of interesting experiences. However, some of them do not prepare the classes. Therefore, the feeling about the respect we deserve as students is very disappointed sometimes. The technology to deliver the class has to be improved in order to be more interactive. In general, I recommend this program to reliability professionals."

"This program is very flexible and has a broad overview of technology entrepreneurship. It's one of the best schools on entrepreneurship in the nation. Although it is the first year they offer this program, they are backed with extensive background in technology and entrepreneurship. The campus is only 7 miles away from the country's capital and is in a state where there are number of start ups and with alumni with strong presence in the industry."

"I am enrolled in the Fire Protection Engineering online graduate program. I would not have been able to earn a degree in Fire Protection if it wasn't for this program. There is not a program like this anywhere near where I live and moving wasn't an option. I am able to work full time and get a degree at the same time. The professors are well educated and researchers in the field. The courses are well designed and applicable to my industry. Its a great program, I would recommend it to anyone interested in this field."

"One of the greatest pros of graduate school in the Bioengineering Department at the University of Maryland is the environment that you are placed into. Not only are you only a stone's throw away from DC and Baltimore, but University of Maryland is in a hotbed of scientific research with many governmental and industrial research collaborations close by. One con of the program is that since we are close to the large metropolitan areas of DC and Baltimore, off-campus housing can be expensive. However, with the competitive stipend given to graduate students and a little bit of research into different areas, most students are able to find housing in an area they want at a price that fits into a graduate school budget."

"This is an excellent graduate program. UMD has shown excellent foresight in addressing the needs of the future by launching a masters degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering. Furthermore, allowing students to complete the degree online allows students to continue full/part time employment anywhere in the world. Professors and staff are fully reachable and make great use of the technology available."

"My degree is completely online. Online courses are difficult. UMD does a great job to make the courses up to date with technology. The professors are available all the time and give great lectures weekly in a live chat session. Overall the course work has been difficult but that is expected for masters level engineering. UMD is a great school, I would recommend the program to anyone."

"I just started the online Fire Protection Engineering masters and so far it has been a great experience. I rated the campus safety and affordibility of living, etc. as 5 because it is all online and I do not have a rate for these items since I am not on campus. Thanks"
