"The environment in my Department is highly competitive and lots of busy work. Personal ego is the issue. Our coursework is sometimes not relevant for our future research goals and no other option is looked at for those you do not intend to find a job in the Academia..."

"The music therapy program is, in my opinion, one of the best in the country. We have a very strong group of faculty and excellent courses. Furthermore, University of Miami is a very high quality school. The downsides of living in Miami are the public transportation, traffic and high living expenses."

"University of Miami has a dynamic campus environment which helped me to be more open to different cultures and lifestyles. Engineering Student Body is also diverse, especially graduate students are from all over the world and I believe that this is really important to have different perspectives. The college of engineering definitely supports our research projects in the best possible way. One of the most important feature is the faculty. They are so helpful. As a research assistant, I go to work everyday and I always feel like we are a family. The only disadvantage of my graduate program at UM is its cost. After starting the college, we can't have any chance to apply for financial aid. Additionally, the maximum discount is 15% of the tuition. I wish the university provides more financial help to support master's students."

"The location of the marine biology campus at the University of Miami is unmatched. Course offerings are great, with a great collection of professors that encompass a wide range of oceanographic topics. These include marine policy, biology, chemistry, atmospheric science, meteorology, and physics. The campus hosts a wide array of social events that not only support socialization, but also professional networking with others in oceanographic studies and otherwise. Cons with the program really only exist financially: the master's programs tend to be very expensive and the cost of living in Miami is incredibly high when compared to other states. Overall, the programs offered are worth investigating. The MPS program offers first-hand experience with an internship, where the MS and PhD programs are more research-focused."

"Great Faculty, Facility and Technology. It's a renewed program that keeps getting better by the year. The department listens to the students recommendation on how to make the program better and it is satisfying to see it grow. More money should be invested into the program. More ways to help students finance their studies should be available, maybe more grants and scholarships should be offered to students in the Program. Hopefully as the program grows the amount of tracks available and classes offered increases as well. GO CANES!"

"The University of Miami's Communication Studies program is well worth the time and money. The core classes are designed to provide students with the ability to publish their own research. Additionally, the program's flexibility allows students seeking to enter the workforce rather than academia after graduation to tailor their course load to accommodate their desired career field. The campus is absolutely beautiful; however, because the community is so diverse, it may be hard to meet people - but this is not due to a lack of effort by the graduate program's faculty. As long as the student is outgoing and focused on working towards a great degree, then the University of Miami is the place for them."

"Communication studies of University of Miami is famous in USA. I am very glad to take class with so many famous professors who are responsible for us. However, due to the differences between my undergraduate major with Communication Studies, we just begin our major with basic knowledge and I am not sure if it is suitable for a master degree. And the method to do a research is more complex in USA university, we need more information to do a better research. Therefore, I feel we need a director about how to do a good research. And obviously, we need time to adapt to the life in USA, especially the language, so I hope my professors can understand our difficulties. Anyway, I love the atmosphere of the class in UM and I feel I am more confident and brave than before. I hope I can gain more form UM."

"Pros: -Experienced Professors who've worked in the film industry for decades. -Every professor is easily approachable and willing to explain details of a lecture you didn't understand. -The classes are specific and the tasks assigned are pertinent and applicable to the film world. Cons: - The class sizes are too big for a graduate level program. - Certain classes are too long for its minimally planned lectures."

"Gives good overall foundation of what public relations entails, however, lacks courses concentrating on the varying aspects of public relations. For example, I am interested in Sports PR and would've liked to have the option of taking courses specifically concentrating on that facet of public relations."

"I believe that the University of Miami has many pros. Some of them being a diverse student body and faculty. The people that attend the University of Miami are very smart and dilligent and it has been a great experience so far. I believe by networking with these individuals and with the support of the University of Miami faculty, that a student can accomplish whatever they desire in their career path. Some of the cons of the program are the costs associated with the program and the fact that they do not have scholarships or grants for graduate programs."

"The University of Miami provides great opportunities for its students. The staff has always been readily available to meet with me and help guide me though the program from the beginning. The Public Health program also has a diverse group of students which creates a learning dynamic amongst local, out of state, and international students. I have had the opportunity to find mentors and to network and better my chances in becoming a successful healthcare provider. The cost of attendance may be intimidating when applying, but being determined, the University provides financial aid and applying to scholarships can help alleviate that stress."
