"The University of Michigan is an excellent if you are clear on what you want to study. The University has excellent colleges in business, engineering and education. You are able to take class in other colleges within the university. However, you must be self sufficient and self directed. The counseling staff will help guide you but you must set and reach your goals on your own."

"I was extremely satisfied with UM's academic programs in general and in the economics department specifically. The economics department offers many different options, so you can choose a path that focuses on more quantitative classes if that's what you want. The core requirement classes can be difficult and somewhat boring, but once you get through those, the electives are interesting and often quite practical."

"The University of Michigan is a wonderful place to get your undergraduate degree. Now that I'm in the real world, I've only come to value it more. While academics are important and strong, Michigan has an incredible focus on getting involved in clubs and the community. Because of that, I was able to develop as a leader in a way that I wouldn't have been able to had I attended another university. Plus, there is no one who doesn't use the word "love" to describe their time at Michigan. That kind of passion towards an institution is unmatched by any other."

"Michigan has arguably the best combination of top academic programs, extracurricular activities, and school pride. Ann Arbor is also a great college town. The biggest challenge is figuring out what you want to do with your life so you can take advantage of all the opportunities being a student there provides."

"Michigan is a great school where you can learn about almost anything, meet people with even the most obscure common interests, get involved in a wide variety of activities, and become part of one of the largest, proudest, and most powerful alumni bases in the world. Of course, the athletic programs are incredible, as well."
