"Unlike the majority of my peers, I enrolled at the University of Michigans School of Public Health immediately after graduating from undergrad. As a result, I was immature and failed to truly appreciate the amazing education I received at Michigan. I constantly complained about our work assignments and did not comprehend why we were doing certain activities. Fast forward several years after working in the field and everything Michigan did was spot-on! All the work we did at the school directly build my skillset for working in public health, shaping me into an extremely competent professional. At work, I am the only graduate from Michigan and the difference in education really shows. My colleagues are not dumb but their public health education is not as comprehensive as mine, and they struggle to make connections between theory, logic, and reality. From the very first class to the last assignment, Michigan goes above and beyond to make sure you are equipped with everything you need to succeed! If youre looking for a comprehensive and well-rounded approach to education, choose Michigan. Their priority is making sure you understand what youre doing in order to succeed, and really deemphasize memorization of facts just to pass a class. Such great quality of education will definitely let you shine once you graduate and start your career!"

"Extremely strong in all areas, a "public ivy." Steep out of state tuition, but located in one of the best small cities in America. Affords a strong alumni network as well."

"My education was quite valuable. I think that an MPH will be useful in many settings and provides the option to specialize in various areas. I enjoyed my time and the workload was very manageable. My overall favorite part of the program was the opportunity to meet amazing people and have exciting experiences outside of the coursework that were provided by the school."

"I absolutely love the public health program at the University of Michigan. Their public health program is #4 in the nation and they live up to their high ranking. The pros of the program include the immense faculty and staff support. There are classes here that are specifically designed to prepare us for the real world after graduate school. The cons include their not being a lot of funding provided by the school, but you just have to do your homework and find your own. There are tons of opportunities to travel, present and experience global health. I would wholeheartedly recommend this program :). Go Blue!!"

"This is absolutely one of the greatest program in the country. However, the department has lots of funding issues to support research and grad students which is very surprising to me for a school like this. I have a lot of difficulties finding financial sources for my program in spite of trying hard. I dont know how the department will keep its popularity and rank in the coming years with the famine in its resources"
