"This Nutrition/Dietetic Internship Coordinated Program is fairly new and the department is constantly updating it and making it better. The town of Oxford, MS is by far the best place I have ever lived. The faculty, students, and locals are all very nice. The cost of living here is moderate because it is a college town, it is more expensive than the rest of Mississippi but it is less expensive than California or D.C. This is a very small program (about 8-10 people per class) so the faculty are very attentive to the students. There are Graduate Assistant (GA) programs available to masters students university wide. If you are awarded one of these positions you will be eligible for a tuition waiver as well as a small stipend. Tuition for a masters degree at Ole Miss is very reasonable even without grants scholarships. Overall, I believe that this is a wonderful program for anyone who is looking for a small, well rounded education in Nutrition and Hospitality Management. The school spirit, kindness of the people, and quality of life in Oxford make it a truly great option.Read Less"

"My program is wonderful because it is in just now emerging field and need in our nation from one of the most respected school's in the state. What makes it even better is that it's online and I can continue to work my full-time job! The second best thing is, my program is nationally ranked in the top 15 in the nation from my school. The cons: the cost of tuition is a bit painful. Being the bread-winner in my family, I don't want to financially hurt my family but I do want to continue with school because it's an investment for my family's future.Read Less"

"My graduate program is a great program for someone who is looking to explore many different aspects of art, be challenged by the faculty and other graduate students, and have the ability to teach undergraduate courses to gain experience."

"The University of Mississippi Medical Center's Graduate PhD Program in Neuroscience is experiencing more growth at this time than I could ever have hoped for or expected. There are plans currently underway for a brand new state-of-the-art research building. A change in leadership is bringing experience and knowledge to our curriculum and career development efforts. In addition, this program has always involved faculty from several different departments, all of whom are available at all hours to meet one on one with students for anything that is needed. I am very excited about the future of the program and what it has to offer for me as a junior student.Read Less"

"The pros of my graduate program are the professors treat you as a student and colleague. They look out for your best interest and my program is a family. Everyone looks out for another and if something terrible happens we all back each other up and just try to psuh through."

"University of Mississippi Medical Center has one of the best Nursing programs in the state, and in the COUNTRY! They have a long history of great medical accomplishments. The courses are challenging, and that is what I believe will leave me prepared to perform optimally in my profession upon completion. The instructors are knowlegeable, easilly accessible, and ready to help when you need it. There is no better place to be!"

"The Ole Miss Graduate Program provides a strong public education with emphasis on research methods and preparing students for doctoral programs. The community is supportive, but also has high expectations for students. Specifically for Graduate students the schools emphasis on sports can effect funding and even access to campus."

"Pros: 1. The classes are structured where you can continue working fulltime while you are still taking classes. (They are mostly night or online classes) 2. The faculty is flexible and will work with you if you have an issue you are dealing with. Cons: 1. The school is located in a small town and there are not many opportunities for jobs in the area. 2. The program is new and was started a few years ago. They are offering more tracks to finish the program though (ex. 1year advanced standing track, 3 year track)Read Less"

"People come from all over the world to attend the University of Mississippi Medical Center. It has a rich history as an academic health science center. They offer a range of medical programs that are truly preparing the health care professionals of tomorrow to improve the lives of people all over the world. The courses are challenging, but I feel thats what will make for the best health professional."

"The class sizes are pretty big except for Legal Writing and Research. The community-campus relations are exceptional. The professors are very welcoming and interactive with students. However, if you have a very high GPA but your LSAT score is point or two below median you will not be offered a scholarship."

"The Master's of Health Promotion program at the University of Mississippi is a wonderful program. I have learned a lot of information on how to promote the health of communities as well as individuals. This program has taught me the importance of using evidence-based research in order to implement community programs that impact and improve behavior."
