"GREAT college. Fantastic city. Lots to do. Staff was extremely helpful. I felt Master's Degree was easier than Bachelor's because of the staff wanting to help."

"The department of Criminology and Criminal Justice was extremely supportive as I studied for my masters degree. Unfortunately, the rest of the university felt disjointed as it is primarily a commuter school."

"Given that you have the year and department I graduated from, and it was a very small graduating class, I'm hesitant to give an honest review. However, it is a quality school, nice campus, etc. But the faculty, at least in my department, are FAR more focused on getting publications than on the best interests or education of their students. If you're interested in doing research, go for it. If you are looking for a quality teacher/student interaction and mentorship, look elsewhere. A student will not be a priority unless they are also concerned about pushing out publications."

"I was a transfer student from a community college in Monterey California. I was extremely please with my transfer into UNO. They were more than happy to accept all the units that I had earned at MPC. They were also very helpful and held my hand through the whole process. I would recommend anyone to attend this school. Not only are the staff and professors for the most part very helpful, they are also great at their jobs and love teaching. I must also recommend for any veterans such as myself that plan on attending, the Veterans Service Organization were and still are a tremendous resource to my college career."

"The University of Nebraska at Omaha is/was an excellent school to attend. The curriculum was excellent with a variety of topics within the fields of Criminal Justice. A lot of our professors have written papers, essays, research papers, books and curriculum. The courses are very interesting with a lot of students going onto work with major crime departments around the country. The programs included fieldtrips to London, England one year for students to tour Scotland Yards and sit in on british class topics. Some of the professors work in corrections around the city and I personally got to have a lectured class at the Douglas County Corrections Facility, along with a tour. You can make excellent connections and get wonderful advice on the direction you want your career to go in. All in all, its a wonderful program, a wonderful school and was an excellent adventure to go through."

"Very highly recommend UNO for Computer Science / IS&T. The Peter Kiewit Institute on south campus is excellent and the courses you will take directly relate to what you'll need to know in the business. I work with many people with IT degrees and it's extremely apparent they did not receive the level of education provided to me at UNO."
