"I love that UNLV is always up and coming . The professors really care about your education and future, they are always available for advising . I cannot speak for all majors but mine was a small program of extremely qualified educators that truly loved what they do and were great at it. I feel I got the personal attention and encouragement I needed and overall got a great education !"

"I thoroughly enjoyed UNLV. You can be as involved as you want to be. Course selection is great and I feel there is a real value to the education I received. Be thoughtful in choosing majors and professors."

"My first year at the Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas has begun with anxiety and excitement to succeed in my program and surpass my own expectations. However, I know that this can only be done with assistance from those who have gone through the program as well as with opportunities to gain the knowledge necessary to answer all of my questions. For this, the Boyd School of Law offers help in many forms. Namely, the Boyd School of Law offers a peer-mentorship program to pair second year and third year law students with first year students in order to share valuable knowledge on how to succeed and how to take full advantage of opportunities offered at this law school. In addition, as I enter my first year I am met with career development programs, educational assistance and tutoring programs, former student sessions, and many other services aimed at one task, help me succeed! Now that the my graduate program can be seen to stand above the rest in terms of services offered, it is truly the education that allows my school to attain the honorable reputation that it possesses. With professors from Yale, Harvard, and many other prestigious law schools, knowledge from brilliant people is easily dispersed as students pass through various semesters. However, this education goes hand in hand with large debt and thus detracts from the programs availability to all students. Since the school is relatively young, the growing faculty and services may be slowly progressing in certain areas, but there is no doubt that progress is the ultimate goal."

"There wasn't any real guidance through the college experience. There didn't seem to be anyone available for counseling or advice or to just check on you and see how everything was going. It seemed to be sink or swim and I don't think that I got my bang for my buck."

"I attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas for a total of 7 years. A majority of the classes were intellectually challenging and creative. I had some fantastic teachers in my time in the sciences. The only issue I had was with certain tenured teachers in the math department. Make sure to look at rate my professor before choosing who your teacher will Be. Choosing UNLV as a school will be challenging at times, but it will grow you as a student and prepare you for what life outside of school is."

"UNLV was a great fit for my college experience. The campus was big, but easy to access. Class sizes were comparable to high school, so getting to know your professor was less of a barrier. When I entered into the Social Work program, everything was explained and I knew what to expect. I appreciated the friendly and knowledgeable professors. There are some that I am friends with to this day. Also, have a cohort to go on the journey of completing this program was helpful because we all got to know each other and you always had someone to talk to about what was going on because they were experiencing the same thing."

"I love studying music at the doctoral level at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. There are many great opportunities to get out and practice my craft. However, there is a three - year limit on assistantships, and it will take me four years to complete my degree. Doctoral tuition is expensive, and hard to come up with while finishing a dissertation!"

"The program is an excellent value and the professors are caring, accomplished and supportive. There is a strong emphasis on clinical practice, which is helpful for those that are interested in private practice or agency work. The department is small and non-diverse, so there is limited opportunity to specialize outside of the faculty's interest areas."

"I am currently a Dual MBA/MIS student at UNLV. I think that the faculty at this institution are unbelievable. They really take the time to understand your issues, if you are having any. The MBA administrators are constantly updating you with the goings on of the campus as well as job/internship opportunities. Of course you can't beat living in Vegas. My only issue is the parking and the transportation. Parking is a nightmare, and public transit is nearly non-existent."

"While being a student at UNLV, it is beneficial to actually know what you want to do in your future and make sure no one is able to tell you that you "can't do it." Majority of the professors at this school don't really care about educating you but rather than how much they are getting paid because every professor at this school complains about how underpaid they are. Knowledge wise, I definitely did not feel like I got my money's worth and merely paid 20k for a piece of paper."

"I'm a new student to the program but I feel like it is a fair amount of workload. The professors are great and always willing to help the students on their own time. One of the cons is that there are no online classes available. This is challenging for busy working students."

"The law school at UNLV Boyd School of Law is a cooperative environment which focuses on educating future attorneys and fostering relationships. The school has a strong emphasis on community service and impressing the need for pro bono work after graduation which encourages students to contribute to the community after graduation. The students are supportive of each other, and the faculty members are genuinely interested in contributing to the success of their students. The small environment allows the students to network within the school, which translates to important working relationships in the legal community after graduation."
