"Thought it was OK. Kind of expensive even with the reduction in price for being a Biology Dept. TA. Higher degree likely helped me get my job in the field, but as a public servant the salary isn't very high and paying off student loans was challenging."

"The pros of the graduate program include the ability to interact with faculty on a personal level to help build social skills and to obtain opportunities to increase activity within the major. The program allows for opportunities to tailor the student's schedule to his or her interests by allowing students to choose elective courses."

"I think that my graduate program is among one of the best programs in the country. Since I started classes in Fall 2012 I have been on a never ending educational journey. I have learnt techniques on how to process crime scenes. In addition to learning techniques and instruments how to process biological evidence, chemical evidence and other types of evidence. I have been on tours of forensic laboratories, attended forensic conferences, met well respected individuals in the science and given a chance to contribute to the science through my research interest. The professors are humorous, flexible and supportive, and this makes learning valuable and sustains my interest in the forensics program. The professors are professionals in the field of forensics because of their numerous years of experience in the forensics disciple. Being in the forensics program at the University of New Haven has given me the confidence that when I start working I will be a competent employee in the forensics laboratory. The classes within my graduate program are on a trimester schedule so we have three semesters of class each academic year. Two of these three semesters are 3 months long. The other semester is four months long. By having a course that last for three months I feel like there is a rush to learn certain aspects of the science. Nevertheless, this has taught me some serious time management. Overall, I am elated that I choose this school for my graduate studies; as the program proves to be both challenging and rewarding."
