"I have only taken two summer courses as prerequisites for the program, but already I feel that the professors are invested in my success, both on the CPA exam and in the job market. They have all worked very hard to ensure that we succeed both in the classroom and outside of it. For example, our faculty and staff have created a small professional development program for incoming students without undergraduate accounting degrees to help us understand what we can expect in the next several months as we prepare for the CPA exam and (hopefully) for interviews. And, of course, to help us answer a very important question...tax or audit?"

"The faculty in the department is engaging and supportive. The course work is interesting and my peers are intelligent and laid back. The campus facilities are new and very nice. One of my only concerns is safety (sexual assaults, aggravated robberies, etc.)"

"UNC Charlotte stood out as a school that produces alumni that are culturally competent. The drive I have is congruent with UNC Charlotte’s MSW program. I am blessed to be a part of the diverse student population, promoting social justice and service."

"My graduate program has been a great experience thus far. The faculty provide great support and have my best interest in mind at all times. I have been provided with many opportunities to excel in my area of interest. My class of graduate students is relatively small which has allowed all of us to become great friends and provide support to each other. I couldn't be happier with my decision to go to UNC Charlotte for my graduate studies."

"The program is competitive to be admitted into, but once admitted, not exactly what I would consider to be academically stimulating. I would have appreciated more research-based projects, rather than reflections, however, I do believe that reflections are an important piece of the counseling program. All-in-all, it was beneficial, but maybe not for the out-of-state tuition cost."

"This is a relatively new but fast growing program. Its main strength is interdisciplinarity. And Charlotte is a beautiful community."

"UNC Charlotte's graduate program provides a structured curriculum that focuses on understanding the Public Health field. The professors are passionate about their research areas which in return encourages the students to discover what areas they are most interested in. The professors are wiling to provide feedback, advice, and construct criticism which helps improve all types of work (e.g., assignments). If the graduate program provided more opportunities to meet more people, other programs, and staff members, the graduate program would excel."

"I really love the English department at UNCC. The faculty and staff have been incredibly helpful and accessible as I've been starting out in the program, and as I become more involved, they continue to be supportive and helpful. Having been awarded a graduate assistantship in the program, I really feel as if I belong in the department and am getting help reaching my career goals. So far, my classes have been very interesting and challenging, without ever making me feel hopeless. I've learned so much in the short time since I started, and I'm certain that it will only get more challenging and interesting as I progress. My only issues with UNCC are the fact that I'm paying out of state tuition and commuting a bit to attend. I think that my degree will be worth it, but it certainly adds to my stress levels and makes social aspects of graduate life more difficult to enjoy. If I were living on campus or at least closer, I think I would benefit more from the events and other activities that are available, or if the financial burden were lightened, I could spend more time on campus. Both of these problems are more specific to my situation and don't have as much to do with the university itself."

"It is a really well designed curriculum that allows you to get done as quickly as possible. However combining the architecture and the Urban Design curriculum together does not allow for any sizable break between summer semesters and back into the fall."

"This is an excellent program. I think the pros of this program are the faculty, the campus, and the curriculum. The cons, I felt, were the required meetings on campus. As a distance education student, these were sometimes a little difficult."

"I really enjoy my graduate program. The M.S in Engineering Management was the best choice for me. The curriculum allows me to choose from courses which best interest me and will be directed toward the area of my choice. This is the experience I have always wanted since receiving a B.S in Manufacturing Engineering. I have always wanted to have the knowledge to and skills to complete an engineering task but also the training, experience and knowledge to know how how to sustain the business. The campus is clean and nice and I enjoy my program!"

"The new building, equipment, space, and overall gorgeousness of the campus has been the most exquisite part of my experience thus far as a first year graduate student at UNC Charlotte. Although the faculty members have hardly any time to speak with students one-on-one, when they do, they are sincere and provide the topmost guidance. Most projects and thesis topics that the faculty offers are highly sought out for by students and are comparable to the most current technological advances in industry. However, very few include funding needed to support the student and project/research topic. If motivated students wish to be involved in NASA supported projects, UNC Charlotte’s graduate program is the way to go."

"Coming from a very competitive undergrad, UNCC has proven to be a relatively easy school to be integrated into for there are a lot of resources available to help with the transition from the undergrad level to graduate level. This smooth transition has helped me get my footing in campus life but has also rendered my ability to challenge myself in my academics. One of my main concerns however, is that my program does not challenge students enough."
