"I'm pursing a MBA to use in law enforcement against drug trafficking organizations. The reason being that both legitimate business and illegitimate business revolve around one thing, money. Notre Dame has really rallied behind this concept. They really want to train business leaders to mold a better world. This alignment between the Fighting Irish and myself has really given insight to what I'm trying to do. Notre Dame has one of the strongest programs in the nation but that extra purpose to use business for good is what sets them apart for me. I couldn't be more certain of my choice to go here."

"The pros: *small class size allows for a tighter network *great network to call upon for career pursuit *great facility and beautiful campus The cons: *the location is a bit isolated; the nearest "big city" is more than an hour away *recruiting happens faster than other programs (which could be a pro if you know exactly what you want and are prepared to interview for it)"

"They offer very generous scholarships. In terms of course load, they don't want you to be expert in a specific field (i.e. accounting), but they want you to know the knowledge which you are expected to use or know in the future (i.e. reading financial reports). So compared to other schools, the work load is pretty much manageable, and it leaves time for you to do something else. Some classmates are even running their own business while in school."

"The quality of faculty and coursework is very high. The surrounding South Bend area is not very nice."

"The program is the best MBA that I could find for the cost. Notre Dame is generous with aid, cost of living is low in the area, and the quality of the academic faculty is outstanding. The one item that is a slight con is that due to the MBA program size, there are not enough students to accommodate companies recruiting needs across industries. For example, asset management firms do not tend to recruit at Notre Dame in mass, and so some students may find it difficult to change careers and go into equity research at a mutual fund company."

"What stands out about the Mendoza EMBA is the focus on strategy and the self. The value for the money is incredible as the school ranking in 2013 jumped from #23 to #15 business school in the US according to The Economist. As a result of my enrollment, I have had access to quality students, instructors, and career support. The International Immersion class was also my first foray into consulting, during which I enjoyed my engagement doing business development for an engine manufacturer in South Africa. My ratings for "Affordability of Living" and "Transportation" come from having to commute 40 minutes from my residence as full-time employment is required to participate. The other downside is students are eligible for greater assistance in the traditional MBA program, for which quitting my job to pursue a degree would have made my work-life balance much easier. To end on a positive note, I really enjoyed the pre-set curriculum with the subject matter becoming increasingly complex and integrated as the semesters passed. This is well worth the money and, in my opinion, a better value than the higher ranked schools in Chicago charging twice the tuition."

"The program continues to improve. The professors are wonderful! Career Services has a vast network upon which you can draw, if you are pursuing a traditional MBA job. Very little support for those seeking non-traditional MBA work. Notre Dame is a great place to be!!!"
