"The Masters in Nonprofit Administration is an unique program. It allows students the flexibility to keep their full time job while still furthering their education. Taking classes full time in the summer for 2-6 weeks then online classes throughout the year is very convenient for the working student. Additionally, the MNA staff are very attentive to the needs and concerns of the students."

"I didn't know this when I enrolled, but the MA in Theology at Notre Dame is academic suicide if you want to pursue a Ph.D. The MTS and M.Div. programs are very highly respected, but I was told by two of the three schools I applied to for Ph.D. programs that my application would have been stronger on the merits of my undergraduate education alone. On the other hand, I don't think I would trade my classmates for anything. The directors of the program I was in are great--if you don't get on their bad sides at the beginning of the program like I did--but the students make the program."

"The program continues to improve. The professors are wonderful! Career Services has a vast network upon which you can draw, if you are pursuing a traditional MBA job. Very little support for those seeking non-traditional MBA work. Notre Dame is a great place to be!!!"

"South bend is improving but still lacks many things to do. The network at the school is very supportive and useful in finding a career."

"Great support from staff and alumni network. Surprisingly fun social life around campus. #1 ranked football team!"

"Mendoza has an excellent faculty and academic environment. The limited class size ensures that the students are able to interact with the teachers and with each other. Though the class is 25% international, there is still much to be desired in terms of diversity. The alumni network is very supportive, loyal, generous and helpful -- definitely one of the strongest suits of the school. The career office pushes students to make the most of this, as a way to get their desired internships and jobs. The strong alumni network also contributes a huge chunk to fellowships offered by the school. South Bend doesn't have much to offer in terms of recreation so students get together a lot, forming social bonds in the process. Come break, almost every student can't wait to leave campus. It's a pretty quiet town, which means students have a very conducive environment for studying."

"Pro-great environment, very supportive classmates and collaborative environment, outstanding alumni network Cons-smaller school size means companies need more encouragement to make campus visits"

"Great program with wonderful people and network. South Bend is a nice place to live in, and it's not as cold as you would think. Winter's actually pretty cool and pleasant."

"The networking and alumni support networks will be incredibly valuable. The workload is challenging but not overwhelming, and the professors are outstanding in engaging students."

"For being in South Bend, it's amazing. My particular program, though not really listed above, is a real gem among others in its focus on really cultivating development of the whole person rather than sole focus on academic product."

"It is a highly challenging environment, however, there is ample support both from faculty and other students. The atmosphere of intense competition is not prevalent here and there seems to be a genuine sense that faculty just want to see us succeed. The drawbacks lie primarily in the high cost of tuition and living and the very narrowly limited range of activities to do off campus."

"Football season is a lot of fun. Beyond that, there's not really a lot to do in South Bend. Chicago is a train ride away, which makes up a little for it."

"It's a well rounded program that enables us to develop as worth human beings. The opportunities and activities go far beyond the program itself. It has the best alumni network."

"Pros: Competitive program, great faculty and facilities; beautiful campus, nice space for parking, affordable living cost, close to Chicago. Cons: other than Notre Dame campus area itself, the rest of the cities (South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart) are not interesting, nothing to do but Mall shopping. Public transportation runs on time, but routs and times are not conveniently scheduled."

"ND campus is beautiful. Cost of living is moderate. Particularly for married students who has non working spouse it is affordable to live in the South Bend area and salary for a graduate student is good enough to cover all expenses. Apart from that, professors at ND are quite encouraging and supportive. Workload for courseworks is moderate. Overall, the atmosphere is great."

"South Bend has a very reasonable cost of living, but the administration in Biological Sciences is not willing to help students that are having any sort of trouble with their advisors or funding."

"Be sure to review the individual department. I have good impressions about some of the science departments here but others can use some improvement. At the time of this post, the 9 positive comments here seem to mostly be from chemistry students."

"I love Notre Dame. It has a atmosphere that just feels like home. While the programs may not have the national ratings of MIT or Cal Berkley in the sciences, it is still a very competitive program, with qualities not found at those other locations. I have found that most of the students in my program chose Notre Dame for the environment. Notre Dames faculty and staff are devoted to the students, both at the graduate and undergraduate level, and they go to get lengths to help them succeed."
