"I really enjoy going to university of phoenix. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. In the master's program it is group work oriented, allowing you to learn to work with others through the good the bad and the ugly. I also like how the teachers encourage students to interact with each other and talk about their experiences and how they feel about the topic being discussed."

"I had a positive experience with UOP. I went to a campus located in Santa Theresa NM (not sure if it is still around). The Professors were knowledgeable and the environment was always positive. I did pay a pretty penny for it though which is really the only bad thing I have to say about it. I have not had any issues getting jobs nor have I had anyone give me crap about my degree and its authenticity. I have not tried to go back to school to further my education so not sure if those credits would transfer over. I this point in my career (I am in management now) I don't see myself going back to school so whether they transfer or not it really doesn't effect me right now."

"It is a good school to go to if you have to work or have a family. It's classes are also taught by people who work in that field currently."

"Excellent program geared for the busy nontraditional student who not only works full-time but is also a parent full-time. The professors were accessible for clarification or assistance or to eliminate any ambiguity. Class sizes were no more than 10 and team assignments prepare you for the real world of work. Tutors, supplementary aids on site or online are available as well to assist you in meeting your goals! Altogether a wonderful experience!"

"The University of Phoenix, Gardena Campus, has always had an open, friendly, learning environment. The counselors, instructors, and other staff at the university are always helpful and willing to assist. Once I determined that I was going back to school, I was a bit nervous and did not know what to expect. But, with all of the support I have received from the staff at the university, I was able to attend classes and concentrate on my education. Currently, I am on the Honor Roll and working full-time."
Don't attend U of P

"Let me start by saying, I was a transfer student from UNLV. I decided to transfer to U of P because I was working full-time and going to UNLV full-time and I was exhausted. Now...if you want a degree just because you need it to further your career, U of P would be a great option. For example, if you are a GS employee, they do not care what school you attend, as long as it is accredited. My issue with this school is the fact that EVERY TIME I HAD A QUESTION FOR A PROFESSOR, I WAS ALWAYS REVERTED TO YOUTUBE. I have a problem with paying tuition to a school and not being able to have a question answered. This happened on several occasions. Don't think you will be handed the work because you actually have to earn your grade and some professors don't care about what circumstances are going on in your life, the work has a deadline that needs to be met. As soon as I graduated, I was contacted to pursue a masters with them. I declined their offer because of the fact that their instructors (SOME, NOT ALL) refused to assist me as the student when I needed a clarification on work. My academic advisor was great and we've developed a great relationship through the years, she always managed to take her time with any questions or do research when necessary. If I had to do it over again, I would have a selected another institution."

"I am pleased with the MSC/Marriage, Family & Child Therapy program at University of Phoenix. It has been a tough 2 1/2 years thus far, but I am certain I would not change it for anything. This program has prepared me to work in the behavioral health field by providing the necessary tools through a rigorous curriculum. Our facilitators provide an expertise that is invaluable in our education and future career aspirations. I thank University of Phoenix and its facilitators for the opportunity to be part of such a program."

"At first I though the University of Phoenix was just a diploma mill, and I was wary. Then I found that all of the school counselors that work at my school graduated from the UofP! After talking with them about the program I was convinced it was a quality program. Transitioning from teaching to counseling has been very busy and the program is a lot of work, but I know when I'm finished I will be highly qualified to counsel, thanks to the University of Phoenix."

"This program works great if you are working full time and or a stay at home mother, you attend school once a week. The rest of the work is done on your own and the professors are actually counselors. I have learned so much about counseling from great leaders, who know what we will expect in the program. If anyone ever had any questions I would be happy to answer them for you. Thank you!"

"University of Phoenix has wonderful instructors who were will to spend time with subjects that were more difficult. They were empathetic and understood most students were parents and working. This school was ideal for me and enhanced my career. If I had to go back to school I would choose University of Phoenix again for further education."

"Receiving my degree in Human Services provided me advancement on my job along with future opportunities. For the most part, the professors were very knowledgeable and familiar with the human service field; therefore, able to provide current information. The only downsize was administration reevaluating the program and affecting current students extending and prolonging graduation whereas they should have went off original catalog date instead constantly changing without notification. Since our class voiced this problem, I am hoping it made a difference because the dean of the school did meet with our class."

"UoP is great for the working or married adult. It has the flexibility that one needs when life pulls them in all directions. The course load is manageable and the instructors understand that you are most of the time juggling life to be successful in their class and they appreciate that."

"The decision to go back to school is great, getting accepted into UOP is greater! after been out of school for so many years, attending UOP ground school made it all easier. After my first class all my skepticism was wiped out. The Instructo'rs are friendly and make the learning process much easier. The curriculum and learning guides and tools available is helping me a lot! My class mates are also great! I look forward to becoming and Alumni and proudly say 'I am a Phoenix!'"

"The MSN/MHA program of University of Phoenix was a dynamic online program. The experience led me to reorganize and realign my goal as a nurse and it gave a new perspective in my new found aspiration to become a nurse educator. The process of the program was successfully implemented with the assistance of the resourceful academic advisor and financial advisor. They have been in full support of each of the steps I have to take from the application process, FAFSA integration, and class scheduling. The school provided their students with access to helpful links, applications, and Live Labs to ensure positive outcomes in the literature reviews and online preparation of master's prepared APA format papers. I certainly would recommend University of Phoenix to my family, friends, and colleagues."
