"I thought Pitt offered a great MBA experience, but I do think you get a better all around experience as a full time student than part time. A lot of valuable speakers and seminars take place during work hours"

"The Full Time MBA Program at the University of Pittsburgh - Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of business provides the best value for money in an MBA program: affordable tuition, best-in-class education and great return of investment. The approach is experience-based where most of the classes are strongly inter-related with consulting experiences among local and national corporation. Global exposure can come through the Global Business Project where students can get professional experience in Latin America as well as in Asia. Additionally, the cultural environment is competitive, yet very collaborative."

"Katz part-time MBA program is great. Everyone in the program works full-time and takes classes at night. The faculty are very empathetic to working students and make accommodations for students who need to miss class due to work or family. They set you up to do a lot of group work which was annoying at first, but it is really helpful when you are busy with your life and job. The staff provides ample opportunities to have access to top employers recruiting MBA's. They also have many networking opportunities among the students. Both faculty and staff are very approachable. I would definitely recommend this program!"

"The Joseph Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh offers high value MBA programs. I am currently enrolled in the two-year FT MBA program and I couldn't be happier with my experience at Katz for a variety of reasons. Despite the relatively small class size of approximately 100 students, Katz offers multiple opportunities for students to connect with employers through networking events, case competitions, career conferences, guest speaker events, and professional development workshops on campus. There is always an event taking place on campus every week. Katz is also an amazing place for women to complete their MBA's. The women's organization on campus, MBA Women International, offers a strong network of women in business locally and internationally. The program promotes a supportive environment for women through this organization, by openly discussing gender issues in the workplace and encouraging women to pursue high level leadership positions. Lastly, Katz offers MBA students a variety of opportunities to work with company's globally by helping the clients solve real businesses issues. Katz incorporates these consulting field projects into the curriculum which allows students to apply their academic knowledge to these projects. My personal experience with the consulting field projects allowed me to work with a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer looking for the most cost effective way to increase their sales in Brazil. The project led me to Brazil to explore options to set up a manufacturing facility there. I also went to India for another consulting project and worked with a multi-national paint company on a profitability improvement project. In addition to the global consulting projects available, almost half of the MBA students are international which brings an interesting perspective to the classroom. The global exposure students get from the program is a necessity in today's business environment. Overall, I've only completed one year of the program and have already gained so much experience. Katz already helped me line up a leadership development position for when I graduate in 2013 with a large, multi-national company. I would highly recommend the Katz FT MBA for people looking to further their education while gaining real-world experience in a supportive environment."
