"Great school with small class sizes and a beautiful campus. The professors were extremely intelligent and were willing to go above and beyond for students. Classes were extremely interactive. Campus was the safest I have seen and dorms were larger than the average."

"USD is a highly competitive, respected university and I am proud to have been accepted into their MEPN program with a graduation date set for May 2016. Our professors are actively involved in our educational process and success and a geuine in their passion for teaching. The cost of this program, combined with the high cost of living in San Diego are cons of this particular program."

"Overall this is a great program. The professors are dedicated and available to students. The coursework is challenging but manageable. I don't love all of the courses we are required to take but the excellent professors make up for it. For some courses the graduate students are mixed with the undergraduates but are held to a higher standard and graded separately. The area surrounding the campus is pretty average but there are a few good restaurants. There is a free shuttle on campus that is a big help in getting from one side to the other."

"Student to faculty/ staff ratio has to be less than 3:1 making support and responsiveness from faculty and staff is outstanding. Staff constantly worked to provide numerous extracurricular social and networking opportunities with industry professionals of all areas."

"Beautiful small city, with a diverse amount of activities when you're not in class. Classes start at 4pm Monday through Thursday. You're with your cohort in every single class, there are not multiple sections of the same class. Cohorts are diverse in age range, real estate experience, home towns, life experience, family size, socioeconomic levels, politics etc. You get to know professors, administrators and classmates well. Multiple opportunities to connect with the industry on a regular basis, get involved academically or in practice. Internships and mentors lined up at the beginning of the year. ARGUS Competition brings national recognition to the program. Opportunities available to travel domestically and internationally (Cannes, Hong Kong) for conferences and program courses."

"One of the top-ranked MFA Acting Programs in the country, the USD/Old Globe offers a year-round, two-year intensive classical training supplemented by employment opportunities as the Old Globe Theatre. While San Diego itself is not the burgeoning theater community of Chicago or New York, the calibre of directors brought in to work with students will provide life-long professional connections, in addition to the connections established at the Globe. The financial aid package is unmatched by any such program in the country, and selection is highly competitive - your peers will be the best of the best. San Diego is beautiful, and every attempt is made to help out-of-state students acclimate to life in Southern California."

"USD is a school where so many opportunities are available and so much is offered to each student. While a majority of students come from privileged backgrounds, there is a growing number of first generation, lower income students with great academic background joining to make a diverse and exciting educational institution. Moreover, the students are very friendly, helpful and down to earth. The quality of instructions has prepared me for advanced dialogue and conversation, and each time I tell people that I am a recent USD graduate, their responses indicate that the greater community is aware of such prestige educational standards that we each are required to meet. I am proud to have attended USD! Great challenges, greater opportunities."

"I believe that the lack of diversity at the University of San Diego is critical. It is known that the university is a private, religiously-affiliated school, but the lack of diversity that ensues is only detrimental to the faculty and student body. Diversity in backgrounds and ideas fosters new and innovative solutions to the problems in society. On the other hand, the faculty and staff at USD are professional and career-oriented, and are very helpful to students in terms of classroom help and help networking."

"While law school is extremely difficult, USD has proven to be a great place to study. Although the overall grade reflects the law school experience in general, USD has provided me with an excellent legal education. The pros are the professors and the atmosphere, while the cons are the lack of staff to student outreach. For the amount we pay in tuition, I believe there should be more of an effort to ensure that students have jobs and are a positive position for success."

"The "pros" of the graduate program at USD is that it has a simulation lab with trained professionals in which testing is done to assess your professional skills as an NP. This gives the faculty a good idea of your ability in the clinical setting which is most important. Each faculty member is also still active in the clinical setting. I am a huge supporter of Catholic education for its quality. A "con" is that it is expensive, but as my motto goes quality costs more!"

"I appreciate that the faculty and staff at the Hahn School of Nursing take pride in their graduate students' educational and personal backgrounds. This program does not attempt to transform students into what they want, but rather build off of each individual to support their goals in becoming a successful Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Leader. The only con to this program is how expensive it is. I understand the investment I am making in myself, but the amount of money spent within this time frame can cause stress in an already challenging time in my life."

"There are only two cons: (1)cost of room and board (2) traffic in the surrounding area. Both cons make the University of San Diego School of Law still a wonderful school. There is no campus in the world that is more beautiful. I am proud to attend the University of San Diego School of Law."

"USD is a great program for working professionals looking to advance their career through education. The course offerings and intructors are fantastic. There are many opportunities to get involved, study aboard, and network with the San Diego business community. Some cons are that it is a small school so large firms do not come knocking on the door during recruiting season."

"I really appreciate my program's emphasis on multicultural competency in counseling. This competency is not only crucial for providing quality and effective mental health care, but it is also a mental health counselor's ethical responsibility to ensure that they have the education, training and experience required to work with those from diverse backgrounds. In addition to placing an emphasis on cultural competency, I really appreciate that the department has one of the most culturally diverse faculty on campus. One aspect of the program that could use improvement upon is providing more financial aid opportunities for it's graduate students (i.e., graduate assistantships, non-loan based aid, etc.,)"
