"The graduate program at the University of San Diego has been amazing already. I know that when I graduate, my education from USD will put me above the competition for other opportunities. The most striking thing so far, though, has been the faculty's enthusiasm to help me get started. Their efforts to help me find scholarships, get enrolled in the necessary courses, and even get acquainted with the area have been extremely meaningful and comforting, especially considering that I'm moving from across the country to attend USD. I couldn't be happier!"

"I am a commuter student so I feel there aren't as many resources for me as there are for students who have the luxury of staying on campus all day. I think since the school advertises itself as a place for students who work full-time, it should let us know what resources are available for us. Even to discuss financial aid, I have to take off of work and drive there, park and wait my turn in line. Also, Career Services is not open late. It is incredibly frustrating. I love my classes and the faculty but had I known that I would feel so isolated, I may have made another choice when I decided on a program."

"USD has a wonderful law school! The only downside is the expense for such a great education!"

"The graduate program in History at the University of San Diego is exceptional. The University has close ties with the surrounding museums and gives the graduate students an exclusive opportunity to intern at these museums for credit. And, a lot of the students who have graduated from this program have continued to work in those museums. The faculty is easy to reach and always willing to help. The curriculum encourages graduate students to explore all fields of history in which there are potential jobs. For instance, two of the four required courses relate to career paths in history. One is a teaching seminar and the other is a public history seminar. The University of San Diego does well to prepare its graduate students to be successful in life beyond the classroom."

"I just started the DNP program this year and I am still pinching myself everyday for having the opportunity to go to this school. The campus is stunning and I have found the faculty to be extremely supportive. I would highly recommend this program to anyone and already have. The only drawback is the expense of the school. They have a lab on campus that resembles a clinic or hospital site. This allows you to assume your roles when practicing and better prepares you for the real world of being a Nurse Practitioner."

"The MSGL was an outstanding program and I highly recommend it to anyone looking outside the traditional MBA realm. The program staff were outstanding, curriculum extremely relevant and cohort system easy to maintain work/life balance. It's a great degree to truly learn about the unique challenges faced when working in a cross cultural business environment. I believe it has a great value for the price and will truly give an edge to anyone looking to work in an international setting."

"While the University of San Diego School of Law offers a robust and prestigious law program, I have had to seek out career and internship opportunities mostly on my own. The San Diego area can't be beat for an active social life, but you do need money to participate. USD Law is extremely un-diverse, and while the law faculty is more progressive, the general school administration is not supportive of diversity programming."

"I have not graduated yet so I do not see the professional value of my degree but the personal value has been exemplary so far. The resources are great on campus, the faculty are easily accessible, the classes are small and personal. The only complaint that I would have is the lack of diversity on the campus."

"USD is a valuable school in the area of Educational Sciences. They have a school of Leadership, that focuses on teaching, counseling, and leadership studies as well as TESOL. The classroom sizes are small, which means you get individualized attention, as well as makes it easier to approach your instructor. The cons is that it is private and very expensive, for graduate programs there are not much scholarships available. Though, for undergrad they offer grants that will help students in their studies. I recommend USD to future educators, since they offer a comprehensive master education and teaching credential program that is recognized all over USA. Every graduate program needs an international experience, this helps future teachers reach out globally/"

"I'm in the Peace and Justice program and I absolutely love it. There is great camaraderie among my fellow students and the coursework, while intense, is fulfilling and very useful. The faculty and staff are also fantastic."

"When shopping for an Educational Leadership Program, I entertained the local state university and the more expensive private school, USD. After getting the necessary information from the two I realized something. The cost at the private school, University of San Diego, was only a few thousand more than the state school and the customer service was incomparable; I was made to feel like part of their family. To further the point, the class sizes are small, 15:1, and the professors are all accomplished educational professionals and not to mention the epitome of engaging. The Educational Law class was beyond stimulating and an amusing experience. The Coaching class was a superb collegial experience that afforded me the opportunity to participate in a new approach to Educational Management. The advisors, mentors and practicum facilitators work as a team to ensure we are prepared for our next career. I wanted to include a con about the program but when you learn that the Alumni Relations Office works overtime to ensure students are employed, even after we graduate…then…enough said! USD is worth the time and money."

"I feel like my program is very insightful, adding elements of sociology and psychology to the curriculum. It warrants reflection constantly and I believe that this is deeply needed in many programs. It is a theory-based program, however, so the job opportunites are slim unless you get into one of the assistantship programs available, which I did not. On the flip side there is a required internship for those that do not make it into the assistantship program."

"The campus beautiful. It may not matter to many but it's a joy to arrive and be on campus. The faculty are incredibly accommodating, friendly, and engaged / engaging. They seem to genuinely enjoy talking with students, something that does not always happen on other campuses!"
