"University of South Carolina is a good school. There are good teachers and bad teachers like at every school. The public city transportation is poor. Cost of living is low."

"South Carolina is a great place to live and an even better place to go to medical school. It's a small program where the professors know out names and our stories."

"Columbia has a lot of neat small things to do. The education faculty are great and willing to work with you personally. Even in the most intense academic loads, I could still find time to unwind."

"The graduate program that I'm in is pretty good and I'm mostly satisfied with it. I do not like Columbia at all. It is crime-ridden and unsafe for walking after dark. Public transportation is laughable and doesn't even let students ride for free. I will leave Columbia and the entire state of SC as fast as I can when I'm finished, hopefully never to live there again."

"The particular program I am in is fantastic; however, the main problem on campus is lack of parking and accessibility due to little on campus housing and the distance between off campus housing and the campus."

"More diversity, cultural experiences, better on campus housing options for graduate students, transportation routes from off campus areas are needed. Great football and sports scene, one of best gym facilities in the country"

"The campus is fine, but lacks off-campus housing that is considered safe and quiet without needing an income of $55,000 first or living 35-50 minutes away. Lots of vagrants around the area and side streets are not very well monitored. Most of my gripes are with the area surrounding campus and not the campus or school itself."
