"The Social Work program has great professors, faculty, and staff. The quality of education and support received by staff are excellent. The program is expensive but the education is well-worth it. Professors and students are diverse and inspiring. Social justice is a prominent theme in the program. Although it has a clinical focus, the program is applicable to all levels of social work. I'm excited to see where the program takes me. I'm sure it will be somewhere great!"

"The professors genuinely care for their students, have excellent classes, and the program as a whole helps to cultivate students for further academic or church work in a superior way."

"My graduate program is absolutely fantastic. I have to opportunity to take what I learn in the classroom and practice it in the field of student affairs. The faculty is very supportive and offer courses that truly help us in our day-to-day lives as professionals. Unfortunately, higher education in general has become an unaffordable investment and the cost to attend is extremely high."

"At this time of my career I think I have my goals set and confident about reaching those goals and Master’s degree will for sure take me to the zenith in my profession. I am very positive and adamant about working hard and get my Master’s degree with excellent GPA.I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience from my Undergraduate degree and jobs in past except my GPA during my undergraduate which I personally think would have been better if I have done under such circumstances which are not common for many students."

"University of St. Thomas is leading the Midwest and is becoming more competitive across the nation. The graduate career services department is dedicated to enhance each student's potential to become the best MBA qualified candidate. UST has a growing network with each alumni ready to help newly graduating MBA students. UST is focused on providing opportunities to their students with local alumni and business professionals. I have felt that my education will be valued across the nation as UST is recognized as having a strong academic program."

"You get a lot of value with this program! The evening classes are convenient for those that have a full time job. Most of the classes that I've taken so far challenge you to think critically - offering you tools that you can take into your job. One of the cons is the limited flexibility to travel for your job. I believe the university has recognized this by introducing the blended course. Where, you would meet only 5 times the entire semester, doing some work online every week in between. Overall, for the universities offering the MBA in Minnesota, I think this one is at the top of the list!"

"I am very pleased with the quality of my graduate program. I feel very confident in the caliber of instruction and mentorship I have received as a student. The faculty and other staff are obviously excited to grow in their roles as educators. Although most of the faculty have a great deal of published research under their belts they are very committed to teaching and passing on the skills and values necessary of the social work profession. The school is expensive but most graduate programs are. In some ways I do wish the student body was a little more diverse, at least outwardly speaking, I it would be ice if we had more international students- but that if probably a reflection of my own interests as I studies international development as an undergraduate and love to travel."

"The University of St. Thomas School of Law is the youngest law school in Minnesota. Therefore, it seems at times that the school is still perfecting its teaching methods/course offerings. However, the school more than makes up for this potential disadvantage by offering a mentor network that is second to none. Alumni and other individuals in the professional legal field are readily available to assist UST Law students. With nearly enough registered mentors to give each student 2 full-time mentors, St. Thomas ensures that students have the best access to real legal experience and advice. In a job market where who you know is almost more important than what you know, St. Thomas is one of the top law schools in the Midwest, if not the nation."

"The graduate program is great. The only open item that hurts the program is the lack of real career support. This is especially true for those individuals that have prior work experience and are coming back for a higher degree and looking to find job advancement."

"The pros of the graduate program include that it is a highly respected program throughout the state of Minnesota, it has been highly spoken of by individuals that have been in the program previously, and that it is in the heart of the Twin Cities. In my mind there is really only one con to the program, which is that the almost all the internships that are available for us to participate in do not include a stipend. It makes it a bit harder to live when you are not getting paid for the internship since on top of classes it takes up a good portion of your time, but even so it is so beneficial to have those internships."

"The dual St Thomas/St Catherine program is often very confusing for students and some staff. Staff have two email addresses and sometimes don't check one or the other very often. School internet and Murphy Login often fail throughout the day. You need two parking passes, but you must get the first one at St Kate's (which is only $95/yr) and THEN go to St Thomas for THEIR parking pass (which is almost $200 for a semester), but you will get a $95 discount if you show your St Kate's pass. Books are only available at the campuses your course is held at (classes are split up between the two campuses) and sometimes they have the wrong books or not enough books in stock. ALWAYS get your books on Amazon to save about half your money. You must submit a LONG history of immunizations to the compliance office and complete a background check, but DO NOT expect the compliance office to send any of that information to your internship placement, which may also request the same info; there is little to no communication btwn the school and your placement site in general. Great teachers!! You are treated more as a colleague than a lowly student who doesn't have anything to contribute. Professors have many years of experience and many of them continue to engage in real-world social work practice. The only complaint I have about the professors is St Thomas likes to hire adjunct professors, at least in the summer, who are required to use other professor's curriculum and they must get permission from someone to modify anything about the structure of the class. And considering they do not create the curriculum they often are confused about what something means on a power point slide or have a difficult time answering questions about assignments. There are more fresh-from-undergrad students than I expected. However, only ONE of those students are not taking the coursework seriously. I am enjoying graduate school much more so than undergrad!! All in all great program, but for a highly prestigious private college I expected higher standards and efficiency/congruence within the program."

"UST is a AACSB certified MBA program. The school is focused on constant improvement and strives to be a top tier nationally ranked MBA program. In a city that has another top MBA program, UST is able to deliver the same, if not better, experience for a much better value."
