"Exceptional school with professors that challenge their students to develop innovative ways to solve relevant and complex issues found in today's business environment. Curriculum has equipped me with the skill set to go beyond typical business parameters by contributing creative solutions, exposing talents within my employees, and building self-managing teams. Truly happy about the value of my education from this institution."

"The MSODL online program lacks many of the core curriculum you would expect for an alternative to the MBA. I advise civilians to pursue other universities as UIW is focused on the military leadership objectives rather than the students who are not using a GI Bill to fund the program. The professors are great, but the administration including academic advisors and financial aid/business offices fall short on all fronts. Overall, the university earns a C- in my honest opinion at nearly $60,000 for the MSODL."

"My advisors, instructors, and the Veteran' Affairs office are always available to help me! UIW also discounts tuition to match tuition assistance for active duty personnel, which makes this an even more amazing opportunity. I am very happy with the practicality and applicable nature of the MSODL degree program. The course materials and discussions have helped me to develop, both professionally and personally; I have also made many connections in the OD field."

"UIW is truly a yellow ribbon school to both DoD and Civilians. As a civilian it was hard to manage work travel and getting an MBA. I transferred to UIW because of a) diversity of students b) flexibility in managing work/school balance c) educational experience. It was a way better fit for me and glad I went through the program. I have and will continue to boast the amazing MBA education I received from the University of the Incarnate Word."

"I just began my graduate studies at UIW. I received my BS in psychology a few weeks ago from UIW, as well. The pros of my graduate program are that it is very flexible, has reduced tuition, and is fast-paced. The program that I am in is definitely for working adults! Other local schools do not have such options for those already in the workforce. It is for this reason why I left a local public university. There are a few cons, as well. We do not get face to face interaction, the courses call for extra time and dedication because they are demanding, and it can be exhausting keeping up with so much work while working full-time. However, the pros of my graduate program far outweigh the cons. I know that I will complete my graduate studies at a much faster rate than others, and know that I am getting a quality education."

"I am currently enrolled in the online Healthcare Administration program. The school is expensive with the current tuition at approximately $2000 per class for non-goverment employees. Financial aid (other than loans) is pretty much nonexistent for grad students. The workload is challenging, but doable with a job and other priorities."

"The pros of the Graduate program I have enrolled in as that you are always provided with support from the faculty and staff. They are there to encourage you every step of the way in hopes of success. The cons of the Graduate program I have enrolled in that it is extremely competitive. In a way, that could also be seen as a pro because this motivates you to keep pushing to your best potential."

"Please do not let the overall grade score be your guide as I am unable to answer certain questions. I am an online student and cannot comment on the topics of the school's social activities, campus safety, the surrounding area, student diversity, & transportation. I also cannot comment on the financial aid portion. Overall, this is a challenging program and I am actually learning a lot. If you are able to discipline yourself to study the online program may be a good fit for you. Please note that the classes for this program are not self paced. We do have due dates for our assignments."

"Pros: Very demanding, allows the student to engage and assume a greater responsibility in their professional role. Cons: The courses I took were all online- the professors are still adjusting to the new progressive method of educating. "

"The Health Care Administration program is very stringent, thought-provoking, and worth the investment. The course facilitators are fair and try their best to pull information from you ensuring students get the most from the course. Although I've only taken online courses, the reputation of the University of the Incarnate Word is a reputable one and one of the reasons I desired to attend this university."
