"The University of Utah's Occupational Therapy program is above standard and all accounts. Faculty and curriculum teach evidence-based material based on making students the best entry level Occupational Therapists. I feel grateful to be a part of a program that holds students to high academic standards and readies us for the competitive job market upon completion."

"The program offers a large variety of courses to choose from and the classroom to teacher ratio is very favorable for the graduate students. The professors offer a lot of their time for mentoring graduate students and helping students succeed. The course work has been valuable and relevant. The program is relatively young and highly rated. The research opportunities are plentiful and worthwhile. The program also offers strong support in developing students' communication, presenting, and writing skills tailoring these towards the scientific academic crowd. The program because it is young changes its requirements more often than one might like. The written and oral qualifying exams require a written 8-hour exam that require extensible knowledge in one's sub-area and in one's research field, a written grant proposal is submitted prior to the oral exam, and the oral exam must encompass what research one has already accomplished and proposes to accomplish by the end of the doctorate degree. This is useful in practice but seems that the written exam would be better serving to the students if it only tested the area in which his/her research is in."

"Pros: This is a relatively small program so you have the opportunity to become very close to your cohort as well as have a lot of individualized interaction with the faculty. Public transit in this area is also incredible. Cons: Small programs don't have a lot of money to offer their students."

"The Economics Program here at the Univ. of Utah is a very liberal program in which the student is able to choose electives outside of the department that best fit his/her academic interest; however, funding for research and thesis projects are virtually non-existent."

"The program encourages strong networking and a strenuous course of study. Cohorts can be very productive. Some courses just don't have enough time to cover material more thoroughly."

"The Master's of International Affairs and global enterprise is a unique program that allows students to take courses in Business, Law, and social sciences to create a unique blend of practical experience for working in an internationally oriented environment. It is one of the only programs of this nature east of the Mississippi, the U of U has good resident tuition rates and a low cost of living which is nice. The program is still fairly new and is hindered by the challenges of working with several different departments. but the skills you learn are very valuable."

"Tell us about your college experience.I don't think it was a good fit. However, I've realized that was where I should've been whether I wanted to be there or not because it showed a whole new perspective; it was out of my comfort zone.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?I wouldn't choose a different degree. My calling is to help guide purple to understand and address their problems effectively. What advice can you offer other students?Freshmen year will be a test to see if you know how to balance what's important with pleasure. Find a balance between partying and school."
