"I really liked how many different options for classes I had to fulfill the requirements I needed to graduate. I ended up graduating with a minor in Art history as well, and I thoroughly enjoyed every professor I had in the art history department. Psychology was my major, and I will say that the general courses needed were not great. I say this because of large class sizes, and I experienced many professors who didn't really teach, but instead read off of their PowerPoint slides. Once I got into more specialized classes for Psychology, the courses got better and felt like they had more quality. I was a commuter to campus, and I had easy access to a shuttle. But I will say I often felt disconnected from my peers who lived on campus. It was hard as a commuter student to feel involved on the events that would happen on campus."

"Being at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee was a memorable one. I learned a lot about myself, all while really enjoying all that the city and the university had to offer. Like most schools, they were good and bad. First, I want to start by saying that this was just my experience alone and that it was for my specific major (psychology). Teachers in the Psych department were fantastic. I loved them all they were all very knowledgable and fun. I loved my advisor; she was the best; she would take time out of her day to check in with me to make sure that everything was going well, and that meant a lot to me. I was also fortunate enough to be able to study abroad, and that I think to this day was the best time of my life. Sometimes while at school, I did feel like they were more focused on making money off you part than anything else. I felt like that because their dorms are very, very expensive and all the food places are the same. I would say that overall the school was very quality and I felt that it was worth my time to have gone there. The city of Milwaukee is excellent, it does get a little old after you have spent some time there, and I still consider Milwaukee to be my home, and I think I will always feel that way. I would recommend going to the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee."

"I enjoyed but also disliked certain aspects of life at UWM. The campus is in a populated and busy city which can lead to difficulty with parking and living expenses off campus being a little high. However the campus provides many transportation services and recently even placed bicycles around the city that can be used by students which can make this easier to deal with for parking. The cost of the university is understandable however the price for parking and parking passes for campus are rather outrageous when you consider tuition and I believe this should be considered into tuition by the university to allow students free parking in structures on campus. I also dislike the fact that taking an online course costs more seeing as it should be less work for the teacher not to lecture in person to students, this is just my opinion on the matter. Many things such as the university email and site for homework are great advantages to the university to keep organized. There are also many resources available for all different students on campus, the Norris health center aids in STDs, mental health, or just the flu. There are also many resources for LGBTQ students, and students of every nationality/ethnicity. The culture on campus is also a bonus, it is not strictly one minded, or one culture- the campus is extremely diverse and welcoming and this is one of the best benefits of the campus. I overall enjoyed my experiences on campus, even with some slight things I wish had been different! Great campus, Great educators, Great resources, and Great experience!"

"The University of Milwaukee - Milwaukee is the perfect university if you are looking for a beautiful campus set just outside downtown, a diverse student body, and a wide variety of on and off-campus activities. I received fantastic support from my advisors and incredibly valuable instruction from all of my professors. Additionally, the International Studies office made my semester abroad happen as seamlessly as possible. I will be very sad to leave UW-Milwaukee at the end of the year but am positive that they helped put me on track for my graduate school goals."

"I am very pleased with the program I have entered into. The college life itself is very welcoming and friendly to all those who apply and join. I enjoy going to lectures because it gives you a new perspective on the whole college life. I have met many people and professors willing to go out of their way to help me accomplish goals."
